FYI, we recently sat in a Trailhawk GC. IMHO, the seats offer much less comfort width due the left/right hump grabbing SRT flavored support. For some this is desirable and very sporty in appearance, but for long trips, we found it has the potential to dig a bit more into finding the sweet spot of sitting area. I'm 6'2" so with my longer legs I'm finding the traditional Overland perforated leather seating area much more comfortable overall as compared to the faux leather microsuede of the Trailhawk. Perhaps this will be addressed in January when as Milous suggested the Trailhawk will offer the option for packaging in the traditional leather seats of the other models.

I too have the velvet red on my 2016 Summit. I love it! It looks very dark in flat light, almost maroon. But get it in the sun and it sparkles and pops even more than the lighter Deep Cherry Red from 2014-15.

Here's a thread with more pics...

I love it, clean or dirty it still looks great! The car we traded was black and pain to keep looking good.

We just had to use all the outlets after 15" of rain hit us and we've been without power for two days. Having the 110 plug in it was great, but I did have to use a dual usb insert for one of the cigarette 12v plugs to charge all our phones and tablets.

Yea, it's a very "elegant" shade of red...while I personally prefer lighter colors, I'd not rule this red out entirely because of how attractive it is.

I actually had to wait for my Jeep to arrive from over 200 miles away just to get both the previous Deep Cherry Red and the package I wanted.

I had a black truck for over 15 years and almost went with black. I looked at a Granite Jeep, but it just didn't have a real shine to it like a new vehicle should.

The red caught me. I like that's it's a very chill, whisper of a red, compared to the flashier reds on some vehicles, namely the Wranglers. It buffs to a deep shine, but doesn't look as dirty as my black truck would when the pollen would fly.

If the new red is anything like it, I'd definitely want to have that color if I were looking.

Looks pretty close to the Garnet Red they used to offer

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Not sure if this belongs here or in the vehicle tracking area but thought maybe you guys can help me out. I ordered a 17 Limited with LUX II and blind spot from my dealer last night, since its going to be a lease, he did a dealer order instead of a customer order. He couldn't give any tracking info but told me to shoot him an email in a couple of weeks for an update. Is there any other way for Milous to track the build without the VON or am I SOL on this? Thanks.

Only took a week for me to get a VIN but Saturday will be 4 weeks with out a production date.

Your dealer should have a VIN for you shortly.

Not sure if the storm on the east coast screwed production up or not but I was originally told they were ahead of schedule and to expect delivery in only 4 to 6 weeks. I'm thinking more in line with 8 to 12 weeks right now.

Without a VON there is nothing to track. A VON is issued even before the order is officially accepted.

You maybe could consult this guy???

Ouch. My '16 was delivered during the 4th week lol. Guess it ebbs and flows.
