Bill, that must be the "line departure" he mentions.

Marlon is waiting for a MY18. Is that a signal we should all wait for an '18. Hmm, I wonder if something is wrong with the upcoming '17s. Or is a super new feature being added to the '18?

I figured we'd get this out of the way early.

The change "back" to the type of shifter on the MY16+ was predicated by customer feedback and other factors, such as the investigatory issues detailed in more than one thread in the forum. I seriously doubt you'll see another change in that respect for MY17 and MY18, which are the last two years for this platform.

Marlon said he's waiting for a MY19, plans on being one of the first to get it in '18...

Doesn't read that way to me.

Could it be the Limiteds are getting standard features once reserved for the Overland?

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Most of you porbably already saw this:

Spied: 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk [Updated] | LeftLaneNews

The article says its the 2018 GC with the Hellcat engine, however it seems a bit too early for testing mules in my opinion since that is more than a year away. It would be more logical for that to be the 2017 GC SRT with the optional Tackhawk package. Or it could just be the updated 2017 GC SRT (maybe).

You can see an updated grille, no more headlamp filler plastic like the 75th model (maybe), and updated Grand Cherokee badging on the door like the 75th model. I would say there is also an updated lower facia, but its hard to tell from the pictures. There is also updated HIDs. The current HIDs don't have that rectangular housing around the HID projector.

Maybe there will be a reveal at the NY auto show next week, which falls in the time frame of the upcoming Milous announcement.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I parked next to a Granite JGC at lunch today. It made me even sadder that Max Steel is being discontinued for 2017. Maybe there will be a new color to replace it, more of a true dark gray/charcoal as opposed to Granite's brownish gray?
