Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Actually this Q applies 1st to the 2016 75th models, But may also apply to the 2017 . ? . When browsing dealers in my area for the 75th to show - of course still in transit, but actually am seeing that 1 of each (Laredo & Limited) version will eventually show up ! BUT, when viewing the specific vehicle info. they say the following (2 different dealerships, 2 different States) :
1. Ground Clearance - 10.0 inches This is obviously Wrong ! It is still 8.7 " correct ?
2. Vehicle weight - 4677 pounds Not sure on this though ! ? This even shows up on the JEEP.com SPECS page for the Laredo & Limited in both the 2015 & 2016 models . . . That can't be as the 2016's went on a DIET with the added aluminum parts, no ?
Can we get some verification - at least on the 2016's ? Of course once I add the Off Road Adv. 1, the skid plates are gonna add a few lbs. - Anyone happen to know how much poundage is added when ordering a Laredo E with the Off Road Adv. 1 ?

Good to know, I'll need to start saving for one of those 2018 TrackHawks!

They **might** show just the 2017 GC Trailhawk at Easter MOAB (March 19th>), and/or NY Auto Show (March 23rd>).

Curious if there will be a High Altitude edition for MY17 as well...

" 7th of 8 model years for the 4th generation Grand Cherokee"

Does this mean we won't be able to order a next gen Grand Cherokee until 2018 as a 2019 model year?

To my knowledge, that's correct.

The official sales-launch of the next gen Grand Cherokee is currently scheduled for September 2018.

Correct. The next generation platform debuts in late 2018 as the MY19 JGC under the current roadmap.

2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So for all the people that don't want the 16 because of one feature the 17 will have.. Now you should wait until 2017 for the next gen GC. But then you should wait for the 2019 so all the kinks are worked out. But wait, then you should wait for the 2020 because there might be a mild refresh And it goes on...

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

It's worth waiting a mere four months for Android Auto/Carplay, especially considering I hope to drive this vehicle 10+ years like I have my current one. And besides, maybe by then they'll have figured out how to put sport mode back on the gear shift.

The next gen platform is MY19, not MY17. MY17 will get a few little things, but it's still the same vehicle as the MY16 which is nearly the same vehicle as the MY14-15. For some folks, a particular feature is something they are willing to wait for!

Speculation as to whether all 2017's will have the 75th edition front end ...
