Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Milous, the Trailhawk pics show the tires are 265/20/50 Carscoops article indicates they'll be 18s. Hard for me to believe the wheels on the most off road capable WK2 won't be 18". Can you clarify? Thanks for your time.

EDIT: Disregard -- saw Milous' response in other thread -- 18s are standard, 20s are an option.

Yeah - really happy to see it.

Milous - do you know if True Blue will be available at launch on the summit or will it be late availability since it is "new" to the summit?

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Do I keep missing it, or do we know nothing yet about the High Altitude edition for 2017? All I hear about is Summit and Trailhawk models.

Can't wait to see a platinum edition in true blue - think that might sway me from ivory or the new black

+1

I hope there is a HA otherwise I will have to choose between Trailhawk and Overland.

I don't think 2016 models are an option for me at all, Carplay is a huge feature for me more than anything else. I have been waiting about two years for it now...

+3 here

On the front page it says "possible late availability" after carplay and android auto, or was it just referring to the android auto?

From press pics - it doesn't look like trailhawk has LED lights?

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Trailhawk seems the talk of the town (or trail)? Tomorrow is the big NY coming out party for it. Lots of inquisitiveness, questions of its worthiness of the moniker - Trail Rated Trailhawk. But I am seeing a Jeep that will not necessarily see much past the pavement. Most here seem more interested in the color options and luxuries in this (base model) $$$52,000.00 Jeep - assuming the base model with the Penta v6. Always the skeptic, I often wonder why "they" make such vehicles. IT won't be a "big seller".

So, how many of YOU - members here that is - are seriously considering this G.Cherokee Trailhawk for purchase? And, will it see any serious (as the build suggests) offroad use?

Off roading, trail rating, trail hawking . . . by any other name usually turns out being most like mall crawling, which is absolutely just fine, but full disclosure - not for me.

My 50+ Grand would be better served - IF I were seeking to go off road & do things out their more than once a year on holiday - with a 38 Grand Laredo OR1 and 12 Grand on perhaps a rooftop tent+ or an offload teardrop trailer . . . !

SO, What do You plan to do with Your 2017 G.C. Trailhawk, and how do you plan to Build it?

ps; all this of course assuming I had the 50+ Grand, which I do not, but luckily I do have all my camping and fly fishing gear we could need "out there"! I am much closer to pulling the yes lever on a $38-$40 G on that good old basic (worthy off road) 2017 Laredo E w/OR1 and some decent rubber on 17's.
