I love 5 star wheels for that reason. Only thing is the front Brembo calipers get in the way so I need to move the car a few feet so I can clean the whole inner barrel. It's still better then removing the wheel.

Yeah, I had to do the same with my stock Overland wheels. Just eyeballing the HA wheels, I don't think I'll need to do that. I can't stand just cleaning the face of the wheel and leaving the inner barrel dirty... especially with how visible it is. It's like whoever did that was lazy and only did a half-assed job.

I can remember as a kid on nights when the atmospheric conditions were right I could pull in WLS out of Chicago... 300+ miles away. They had good rock back in the day.

Back in the day cars only had AM radios. I believe it wasn't until the mid 60s that you could even get an AM/FM radio as an option in a new car. I still listen to WBBM AM in Chicago to get the stock market quotes at 25 and 55 before the hour. And I am 200 miles from Chicago. Al

I think I remember driving back to Chicago from college in FL late one night and I was able to pick up Chicago AM stations as far out as like Kentucky. Does that seem right? I know it was pretty far.

I live in middle Tennessee and when I was young I would listen to WLS out of Chicago all the time. Very strong signal.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Growing up on a US Army post in Heidelberg in the 50's, Armed Forces Network radio, one station, was the only English-language "media" available to us. (We didn't call it "media" back then; that was before Marshall McLuhan.) I used to fall asleep listening to the Yankees and the Shadow ...

Found this interesting - (possible late availability) - what, if any, reference does "possible" have to when/if ?
Also, I found an article, today, at the AppleInsider website (all things APPLE) related to the NYIAS event and there was no mention of FCA US (or Jeep) having CarPlay for 2017, but did make mention of many other Manufacturers !

Perhaps FCA US is having another one of their "taking longer than we thought moments" ? Trying to get it right the 1st time though a bit late in entry could be a good thing, IF you can download it after purchase of a 2017 ! ?

Middle-aged, hmmm, you mean as in the Middle Ages ?

me 65 and proud to be alive !

. . . and I do recall, barley, those AM radio waves bouncing off the clouds from far off places . . . once I thought I was hearing something about a Martian Invasion . . . duck and cover too back in the 60's !
