Is that it?

I also read that the TH was available with the V6, but it was my understanding that the ELSD (at least back on my '14) didn't "fit" the V6, but only the V8. Is that different now? or is this a different differential?

Does the TH have extra skid plates that ORII doesn't have?

Just seems the biggest difference is the rails. I don't even think the tires are any bigger (since they need to run when the vehicle isn't lifted via QL).
? Perhaps the enhancements to the ORII system ? Interior look ? Marketing ?
Your probably right in your opinion . . just another cog in the wheel FCA has delivered so that you can ponder and choose . . . or not ? ? ? That's my guess.

I think it looks great but I don't see rock rails? 1/10" is probably from tire size. I do not see anything functionally different.

The MY17 Trailhawk and Summit both provide for QD-II and ELSD across all three engines. This is a change from the past. There's been no explanation so far about how it was accomplished, but it's "behind" the tranny. I'm not sure there was a "technical" reason in the past for not offering it with the V6; most likely it's because they chose not to market it that way.

On the QL, the changes they mention for Trailhawk aren't so much about height as they are about "articulation"...it sounds like they've tuned QL to be better behaved when set to higher settings. OR-II height historically has been "very uncomfortable" and only recommended to be used when necessary to clear some obstacle. I'm sure more information will come to light as we get closer to ordering/release.

They still have to correct their initial announcement that 'ALL Summits' will have this standard now. After all, the Summit is still available as 4x2 and I highly doubt a 4X2 will have QD-II...

GCO', that's absolutely true...they need to clarify that this doesn't apply to the Summits that are built and sold with 4x2 configuration. (not a huge number, but still important)

That looks so much better having the window trim FINALLY match! Nice work for listening Jeep

The wait to order one and actually get it is going to be agonizing - lol

The videos are great - I just wish someone there would use the touchscreen to see if they can get a hardware and software load version for us to see.

Looks nice with that satin trim finish. Too much chrome on the inside though

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Anybody think there will be a price increase with all the new leather wrapping of the summit or will it be an option?
