Been there ! IMO it's "simple"(?) economics for FCA or any business model really. Psychological Gamesmanship, to get you convinced that what you want is what they are giving you . . . !? So, as suggested, since many Jeep faithful can't seem to convince FCA to make what we each want individually - & we really do know better that they can't do that - perhaps After market or OEM purchases can & will (and should) do well !
Sounds rational ? Probably all just more b.s. on my part . . .
Very true....sad, but true! I think the problem could be that Jeep brand is utility vehicle, not a classy vehicle. You go buy from the big luxury Euro brands (Audi, BMW, MB, RR, Jag) you have so many packages and options that you can truly make your vehicle personal. Go buy from American brands or Toyota and will get what they give you. If Jeep wants to play with the big boys in the same league then better be more creative and raise the game. High Altitude with black rims from the previous model style and black logos doesn't make it sport. Actually looks cheap to me. Same Summit with more chrome doesn't make it more luxury. As far as I know (could be wrong) this body (2011+) was created by MB (based on the ML). Not surprised it looks very good and made me buy it and not buy X5. Now since MB are long time gone and Fiat is here were are we going. Is Jeep for low end buyers and new Maserati Levante for the classy buyers. If that is true all we get on Jeep is few apps, more chrome and shifter to make your elbow go to the back seat when shifting. Hope I'm wrong.

Sounds like someone wants an X5 at a Jeep price.

Can I get two???

Actually I had an older X5, just liked the look of new Overland better and took the late 2014 built. Always loved my WJ too (still have it), but wasn't fan of a WK look.....

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

The radios I have seen so far in the 2017 models are the same as 2016 (RA3, RA4).

Still no definitive info on the CarPlay/Android...

... and still no official mention of the CRD tidbit I have been referring to for awhile, very surprising, although maybe they are saving that for later release, as it is significant enough to warrant a press release, even on its own..

One can hope that they are updating the engine so that it no longer needs the diesel exhaust fluid? Or maybe the engine is getting updated to be a little less noisy?

We know it's nothing related to improved towing or fuel economy or hp/torque as that was released with the 2017 summit specs.

Alright, I will guess Auto Start Stop function. I believe the 2.8L diesel in the European Wrangler has this.

Improved mileage? More horsepower? Will it come standard or at a lower price?
