I think we can blame Obama, or maybe even Bush.

Diamond Black Pearl was available on 2009 Dodge Viper and 2012 Fiat 500. I have not found a picture but if anyone wants to try, have at it.

Cool side by side . . . so many shades of just about every color.
Just one look at the RAM1500 site + build & price and you'll go NUTS with ALL the varieties of just about every color under the sun ! What the Heck is that ?
edit; 'Whiter Shade(s) Of Pale" anyone?

Prior the Wrangler Unlimited we had a 14 GC with the previous red metallic version. Never had anyone make a single comment. In the year that we have had the Hydro Blue Pearlcoat Wrangler, if I had a dollar for every time a complete stranger has come up to me and told me how much they liked the color and asked what it was called I could pay for dinner for two at a nice restaurant.

I realize it is what it is and I will either buy a GC Summit or I won't but my fervent hope is that someone at FCA will read this and think to themselves " maybe every GC Summit buyer does not prefer subdued colors" . Probably too much to hope for.
I read, and almost as soon as finished reading the word "subdued," and looking at that velvet red, I thought of the previous Batman Trilogy. You planted a subliminal message and my brain "ate it up" ! WOW !

Guess how many of those I have seen on the street? 0
Doesn't look terrible, but would I ever buy one? no. Would it be hard for me or a dealer to sell some day? yup.

Ooh, THAT almost looks like a "Worthers Caramel"! Can I have a lick?

I remember someone telling me that Starbucks would be a complete failure because " no one would pay that much for a cup of coffee" of course they wouldn't until someone gave them the option to do so.
I am not sure that the fact not many examples of the special edition bronze were sold is supportive of GC buyers only being interested in subdued colors. When we purchased our 14 GC there was a kind of tan/white/ GC setting on the floor I don't think that one sold well either and I believe I read that Jeep is dropping one of it's gray tones for 2017.
I agree that FCA can do whatever they want but I believe that their are a lot of us that love the GC but hate the limited color selection.
I do believe that at some point one of the car companies will expand their color selection of their SUV's to include some brighter colors and if I am correct the others will be forced to follow suit. If I am wrong I suppose I better buy one and plan on driving it for a long time😀
Here Here, all Philosophy Majors line up "over their," thank you.

Also curious how it will feel because of the adjusted air suspension compared to the standard air. It is a really awesome looking car though.

Also checked out the 75th anniversary and in person it is awesome. The bronze trim looks great.

Last stop was to check out the new summit - couldn't sit in it but saw the rims in person and they look much better than in pictures. The chrome wasn't shiny and the wheels actually looked great. Could see some of the new leather as well, love the gray and I have seen stitching like that on some Audi's. Not my favorite but doesn't look bad. On the gray it wasn't too offensive, I imagine on darker material it will stand out too much though.

Love the jeeps, really want to get one. My last was a 96 with 5.2L V8. I loved that car.
No Pics? Were there any Limited, Laredo or Overland 2017's there ? If so, what Front Facia's have they ? Nobody around here seems to have any info. to share yet ! ps; and I personally am dying to know . . . . . .

I took some pics but mostly of the trailhawk a and a couple of the summit (they didn't let anyone sit in it). There was also a 75th anniversary limited and an SRT.

All had the new/75th facia. I will post pics when I can, on the road now and won't be back for a few days.

The red trailhawk was my favorite.

Subaru blue would look awesome on a Grand Cherokee.

Ehh that's too bright for the Grand Cherokee. I think true blue that's already available fits the Grand Cherokee very well.

I've only seen one other JGC in Winter Chill regularly in this area. And honestly, the only reason I ended up with that color is that it was the ONLY light color available when I was buying my MY12 Summit (which at that time was an "Overland Summit". I really didn't want another blue car as my previous Highlander Hybrid Limited was blue. But I guess it was in the cards for me as a Penn State Alum. And it's looking like my younger daughter will be going to PSU, too...

You'll get hauled off to the "funny farm" if someone catches you licking their JGC...
