My Opinionated Commentary
For all those who are micromanaging their what & when to buy a Dream WK2, including me (Especially Me!) - time marches on . . . ! You all seem to "want" "things" that make this or any vehicle more complex . . . more is not necessarily better ? But I do understand, just as in the way that I WANT Less in my WK2. FOR instance, heated seats & steering wheel, leather seats, 18" wheels, and "for the love of God," Chrome (inside or Out) ? Coming to this site sure has given me an updated perspective on Humanity too !
As I told Marlon, basically I Ain't getting any younger waiting for "perfection," cause it just isn't gonna happen. So I HAVE made my decision on wether to buy a WK2 '16 75th Laredo or '17 Laredo E - either will certainly be 4X4 with ORA1 and probably Tow Package, and that is about it (from the factory) ! Only wish the Factory offered Mopar Side Rails (either style) as an option or part of the ORA1 ! (hint, but too late for me). Drum role please . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
and the winner is . . . the 75th Laredo in Recon, wish it came in Brownstone ! See what I mean . . . can't wait forever, my health is declining, and I want to go "de-clining down yonder hills and valleys where the rivers flow . . . ain't nothing more peaceful at night than a "babbling brook".
WHY? Like the new look, like the lack of chrome (bronze, yea), like the 8.4", like the new seat material (Dark Gray 2-tone), like the new shifter, liking the PUG (hoping it doesn't become a lemon!) !
Don't care for the 18" wheels (looks Good, but 17's with 70 sides much better for ORAs, which is why I had asked "the most interesting man" about the feasibility of the 17" Wrangler 75th wheels/tires as a Dealer SWAP !
So, there you have it, thanks to the UNCERTAINTY ABOUT WHAT WILL OR WON'T BE FOR THE 2017 (we are certain chrome outside will always be ?).
I'll find out from the dealer (or here) the last possible time to order this, and get on down the road ! Many Pictures to follow . . . hopefully.
OK, were you able to read it ALL . . .
