Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

You or the dealer could just trade hoods with a stock vehicle. Might be easier.

I would imagine that there will be a "decal delete" option... one less step for them during assembly.

What do they do with the Cherokee Trailhawk? Originally I think it was a $250 option. I checked today and it seems to be standard.

Is that a DIY project or should I let the dealership's body shop remove it? Will removing it leave any permanent marks on the hood?

Can I order from the factory a hood decal "delete" option?

Will the next gen Uconnect be available at launch?

thanks!

There's no "decal delete" from the factory. It's DIY or your dealer; the latter likely for a fee, but perhaps you can negotiate it as part of the deal if you want one.

That is quite a switch in option - White to Black, wow ! Or, 50 shades of gray ? Make sure the Air Conditioner is working very well, . . ./cooled seats too? Summers tend to sizzle more now with the "warming" of the Globe !
I'm imagining Charlton Heston on a Brooklyn beach, with a sinking Statue of Liberty in the background, screaming, "You've Finally Done It, Damn You all To . . . !"

1st, , now, . . . glass houses (?). I know the reference but I don't understand your reply to my straight ahead comment intended not to offend in any way . . . am I reading it all wrong? Probably ! The Dodge Ram1500 (2003) was (been on foot since last July 1st) a Very Simple interior much more so than the G.C., as compared to many of the current Euro offerings . . . that is simply the truth! One only need to count up buttons & knobs and compare !
We can all get what we want, pretty much, there is something, just about, for every taste out there !
EDIT; -77, I reread and (obvious now) did not realize your a proud X2 G.C. owner ! Go figure ! So I guess your "Interior taste(s)" are wide ranging ! Good for you ! I am Really looking forward, now that I've finally gotten off the fence, to getting back on the road on WHEELS . . . Walking is a real pain in the arse! Take care.
ps; pics for the "Show & Tell"? (over at that thread!)

I saw the Trailhawk at the auto show last weekend and while I liked the updated exterior and features and of course powder coated red tow hooks, I found the interior non leather suede inserts rather bland and not as comfortable. It felt more cloth like to us. Other than Trailhawk badge on steering along with red stitching on wheel, arm rests and center console, it felt less refined and very basic Laredo like inside. You do get all of the off road controls with air suspension, ELSP, skid plates, trail rated badge, etc. Am hoping they'll consider offering a more upscale interior as an upgrade option. Is CarPlay definitely coming to this and all other 2017 GC's? Also will Diesel definitely be an available option for the Trailhawk as I'm reading conflicting reports on this. Sadly the auto show featured no Overlands, only the new Summit and Trailhawks. Thanks again for all of your amazing follow up here in the threads

I couldn't disagree more. The SRT style seats with the suede inserts is the best option. I've had two cars with the same style seat now and they are not too hot in the heat and not too cold in freezing temps. They also seem to wear better than plain leather. The support of the larger bolsters is a well needed additional to the otherwise flat buckets.

I could really care less about red tow hooks and a leather dash.

I didn't check the paint code, but it looked Bright White to me. I have seen the new Light Brownstone on a Durango. It looked nice.
