When you go to the Jeep site then the owners tab the only thing that comes up is the User guide. I don't remember it being that large in the past...is it replacing the Owners manual?
Bill,
Does Jeep still offer for 2017 a hard copy manual like they did on the 2014? I prefer a hard copy if it is still available. I think the small owners mail they gave with the 14s also gave you the information on how to order one through the mail. Thanks. Al
I would love to start reading the '17 manual...what is it under when I sign in? I don't see a link for it and it takes me to my dashboard.
I called today for a printed copy and jeep said they can't mail it till I become in KZ status.
--------
Disregard, I found it under knowledge center. But it only is for my current '15. Thanks anyways. Will keep checking jeep.com till I become KZ. I am currently in F

Interesting... normally you can just go to jeep.com, scroll to the bottom to "owners" and select "owners and service manuals" then select what you want by year and model without any VIN or sign in.
All they currently list as available for the 17 GC is the user guide and diesel supplement.

I can't open it...but I'm pretty sure its the User Guide and not the Owners manual as it the first edition and the Owners manual is the 3rd according to bill de
Since both the Users Guide and Owners Manual are available from Jeep as a pdf download, everyone should have a copy of both on their computer. It's super easy to look stuff up with them. This easy access is another reason why so many people like myself always say "RTFM" (Read The F**king Manual) when someone has a question about how something works. I know some people think it's so big, that it will take way too much time to read, but there's only a few sections that really require reading. The rest of it can be referred back to when one has a question.
The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Owners manual is NOT currently available for PDF download for everyone. Bill De says he can download it to PDF with his newly purchased vehicle with the VIN through the Mopar site...what gets me about that is the Bill de says that its the 3rd ED for 2017???...heck I havn't even seen the 1st ED yet. If you download the 2016 manual it is the 3rd ED. Back on topic...I have my VIN but my vehicle has not been built yet therefore, my VIN does not allow me to access to download the 2017 manual through the Mopar site. The Jeep.com site doesn't have the manual link to download (also most other Jeep Models aren't available yet either. I would like to down load it prior to getting the vehicle to be familiar with any changes etc. (as I have done in the past with other JGC's) I'm going to down load the 2016 manual and start from there hopefully there aren't to many changes.
EDIT: Also I notified Jeep Cares and they said that they are still working on the 2017 JGC Owners Manual as it has not been released yet.
Yeah, that sucks if the 2017 isn't available yet. I did the same thing when I ordered my 2016...downloaded and fully read both manuals before I even took delivery.
I know there's some changes/additions to the 2017, but it probably wouldn't hurt to read the 2016 manual. Most of the functions will be the same and it will give you a jump start until the 2017 manual becomes available.
I just ordered my printed manuals. My 2014 Jeep I ordered them right away and got version 3 --- and this was a vehicle that was ordered a couple of days after the order banks opened. I think 2014 ended with ver 8.
I called the number in the users guide and was connected to a live person in less tan 30 seconds. She sounded like a young lady and was very pleasant. After confirming my information she said, "I'll email everything right over to you". I told her I wanted the printed version to which she replied, "Yes, these are ready to print". She obviously had not been told about mailing already printed manuals. I was about to ask to speak to her manager, but thought better of it. Instead I suggested she ask her manager. Just a few seconds later, back on the line she apologized, and was able to get the manuals ordered.
She was very nice, eager to help, but possibly not fully trained. I'm glad I didn't call before my third cup of coffee, I might have been grumpy. Overall it was a good conversation.
Picked up my 17 GC Overland 2 days ago.. came with the printed manual, booklets, and fabric Jeep binder as well... + downloaded the full 600+ pages manual from the Mopar website.
