Re: 2017 NEW Jeep GC - Destroyed

Without looking underneath, anyone venture a guess at the repair estimate? Other than the obvious it's important to note the radiator support is bent. Also the right and potentially the left towhooks are bent (potential frame damage?). Not saying that I want it repaired, just curious.

Re: 2017 NEW Jeep GC - Destroyed

My estimate is $18K to repair and won't be totaled. Just a wild ass guess.

The scariest damage to my eyes the windshield looks cracked indicating the whole body twisted a lot.

My guess is about 12,000 to fix assuming no frame damage. Mine was 8,000 when a woman blew through a right turn only Lane and hit me in the driver side door and wheel, the wheel came off after i tried moving it after the accident.

Re: 2017 NEW Jeep GC - Destroyed

I'll say no frame damage ... cause these vehicles don't have a frame.

It is a lot of damage, but typically to total a vehicle the damage has to reach 75% of the value. Unless the engine/tranny somehow got damaged this should be back on the road in a couple of weeks. That is if Jeep has parts available

My guess is 13000, nothing basing it off of, just imagine a good amount of parts and labor on that.

Re: 2017 NEW Jeep GC - Destroyed

If the car goes back on the road, I urge you go after the other drivers insurance company for diminished value. You should be able to get a good amount of money since the car is practically brand new. No need for lawyers or anything, I believe a call should do. And never take the first offer they give you. Do some research on what you think your car lost value and take it from there.

Rough estimate of $17k without tearing it down. I'm probably going to get a second opinion. Mentioned they would have to pull the motor, dash, etc. to unweld the steel rails of the unibody that were bent and weld on new ones. This repair would be the most time consuming and sounds very iffy to me - sounds to me like the vehicle will never be as safe. Estimated 30 business days total repair.

If you look a little closer it appears to just be the reflection of the wires holding the traffic light.

Re: 2017 NEW Jeep GC - Destroyed

Get that thing totaled it will never be the same call the insurance company and push for it and if they fight then push for diminished value and don't take the first 2 offers and keep shooting high.

My mother has worked for a insurance company for over 15 years find anyway to get what you want out of them because they are savages and will try to screw you anyway possible
