Re: 2017 Summit - a few Pix

Good to see you back in a Jeep!

I pass through from time to time when I'm missing mine.

I personally love the new interior on the 17 Summit. Whoever thinks the quilted pattern is "feminine" has obviously never been in a Bentley. Very sophisticated. The light interior isn't a big deal, just keep it clean and protected (my Lexus is almost exactly the same color)

Still feminine IMO

And 99% or more jeep customers have never been in a Bentley.

Thanks for the laugh though. I'll make sure to cross reference a phantom next time I'm shopping for a Jeep.

"Feminine" and "masculine" are mental concepts within one's own mind...and are not necessarily the same in others' minds. I don't find the quilting in any way "feminine", but I also don't really care for hard gender stereotypes of any kind. Each to his or her own.

Yeah but 99% of Jeep 'customers' have been in an Audi or Kia, both have quilted interiors. I'm not sure why you're trolling Bill's thread. He just got a really new nice Summit and you've been nothing but negative. Just don't comment if you don't like his new ride, out of common sense and respect.

Some guys need props to convince themselves that their masculinity is intact. I don't now and never did, even when I had no car at all.

So only positive comments are allowed? Is this Facebook now and no thumbs down allowed?

For the record I think it looks feminine too. That also doesn't mean feminine is bad either. It's seems your the one implying something that looks feminine is somehow bad or ugly.

My mom and sister would love it. She wears white, gold and pink all the time.

Some people hate any dark interior which I have and I could care less if they don't like it and don't hold anything against anyone who doesn't.

If we did all like the same thing, life would be boring.

Maybe in person, I'd think different.

I think his summit looks amazing except for the hand bag patch work / quilt styling. I'm not trolling. I wanted to purchase the exact same vehicle/color but the pattern killed it for me when I saw it.

It looks feminine and that's MY shared opinion.

I don't know Bill or what he likes so each to their own.

Major over reaction on a generalized statement.

And bill.... Congrats on the new summit

Re: 2017 Summit - a few Pix

Bill, Congratulations on your new Summit. It looks great. Think I have also narrowed my choice down to a Red Summit with the Siena Brown interior. Pretty much given up on ordering an Overland with OR-2 because of the 18" Limited wheels. Only wish I had a dealer within 75 miles of me to look at one first. Guess I will just have to order site unseen again as I did with my 14 Overland. Al

Thanks.

My '14 was an Overland with ORII. What bothered me then wasn't so much the size of the tires, but they were using the standard tires from the Limited and calling them Off Road on the Overland and All Season on the Limited. My off roading is mostly ocean beach and dirt roads. Enough folks have endorsed the 20's as capable in the sand, so I went with the Summit. I did order it with skid plates just in case.

Good luck with your final decision.
