Re: 2017 Summit - a few Pix

Loving the Laguna leather package! I am personally not a fan of light gray or the indigo for that matter, so I would not choose the option but it is beautifully done!

I noticed on the new 2017 "Build & Price" in the Jeep website, it shows Quadra-Drive as a $795 option on a V6 Overland without the ORA-II. It showed up on the summary page on the Overland I built. But I suspect this might be a mistake. But if you can actually order a V6 Overland with Quadra-Drive, I will order an Overland. This option does not show up on the Summit page. I am going to check into this. Thanks for the input. I don't want to order the V8 as it is basically my wife's car in summer. Thanks for the input. Al

The fit and finish on this one is better. Only found 2 minor issues, there is something under the leather on the steering wheel and one seam on the passenger seat is stitched wrong causing small wrinkles. Neither is worth a trip to the dealer.

BTW - the wait this time was shorter, and I was less anxious.

LOL yea man the 14's were a bit rough when you guys were waiting on them. I'm waiting on a couple things. I want to see the all new design... If I dont like it I'll pick up a new 18 model. I know you're a V8 guy I'm happy with a V6, but I will wait out the my19 so they can get the kicks with new power-trains worked out. Your Jeep is awesome though as long as the steering wheel and stitching doesn't bother you man then I am glad you are happy with the new rig!

Re: 2017 Summit - a few Pix

Bill, congratulation on the Jeep! I am not a fan on the interior, but most important is that you like it! For me the sound of a V8 is more important and I would spend the $ there. The biggest problem for me is that there are not really any good rim choices. I was looking into the pictures posted by Bubba and they are all too busy. Five spoke 2011-2015 looks the best. Hopefully next year they come with something clean and nicer.

Milous has had that as a feature in the list from early on for MY17 information. I'm guessing that since they provide it with the Trailhawk, they decided to offer it as an option for V6 buyers in certain trim levels (the majority of JGC go out with the V6) who want the added potential traction advantages of the rear ELSD.

That's not how I read it. His info currently reads:

Re: 2017 Summit - a few Pix

Yes, but that's in the ORA-II package. It appears to me to say the standalone QD2 option is only with the 5.7L or diesel. But if the new Build & Price says otherwise, that's likely more definitive.

Re: 2017 Summit - a few Pix

My take is that it provides QD to v6 users and the build and price supports that currently, at least on the Overland design I was playing with the other day.

Jim, You agree with me that Build & Price supports QD on the V6 Overland. If it is raining tomorrow as predicted, I may take a ride out to my local dealer and see if Quadra-Drive shows up on their order system as an option on the V6 Overland. Will let you know what my dealer says about this. Al

Re: 2017 Summit - a few Pix

Yes, I agree that the "build and price" agrees with Milous's list in the first post of the MY17 and one can order the QD a la carté with the V6 on certain trims. If I was buying, that's would also be my preference as I do not intend to buy another V8 in the future.
