I reckon this TH will drive the same as any previous GC with ORAII/QD2/Air suspension did. For normal driving the air suspension should be nice, but off-roading it's quite stiff, or so I've heard.
My 13 TH has the air suspension.

ORII - how harsh is the ride at full height, Off Road II. Does it still feel like you are riding on the bump stops like the previous QL models do? Will require getting off road to know. Curious if the returned air suspension is that different in this setting.

2017 Trailhawk reviews, let's hear em!

I priced one today at $53,500 with everything but rear seat entertainment and one other option (can't remember what it was). I'd love to know if if the air suspension really has additional height in Off Road 2? I have a 2014 Overland with QL and I can tell you that in Offroad 2 it feels like there is no suspension travel: it's stiff as a board.

Btw, are the mirrors body colored and if not, what color are they and what material?

Also, would like to see a pic with the Mopar Rock rails. Also the billet silver. I just bought 20" 75th ann wheels and put BFG KO2s on them and plan to transfer them to a trailhawk (they are 275/55-20 and change the entire look of the vehicle).

The new suspension is supposed to have "increased travel" and I think they adjusted the bump stops to give it a tiny bit more clearance at max height. I would think this will improve the ride at OffRoad 2 height setting.

If you go to google images and put in "Grand Cherokee Trailhawk" there is a silver one driving around in the desert. It has the optional rocker panel guards which I believe differ from the "Mopar" aftermarket rock rails with the tube sides.

The mirrors, grill accents, roof rails, and other details are a flat grey that should color match with anything. Your bronze wheels should look fine I would think, although the stock TH wheels look pretty good to me.

Re: 2017 Trailhawk reviews, let's hear em!

Even though Trailhawk has "better articulation" as Mr. Plow mentions, OR-II level is still limited to very low speed travel. It's a good practice to do 'most' off-road in OR-I and go to OR-II for that extra clearance only when you actually need it.

Both rails are Mopar brand. The only reason i differentiate them as Trailhawk vs Mopar version is because the TH versions are from the factory where as the "mopar" you can buy from a dealer. You can buy the TH versions from a dealer too if you have the part #.

Here's the difference. The orange TH is an older concept which is why it has the Mopar rails. I personally like the tubed version as it provides a step for the kids to get in and out.

Original production Trailhawk

offroad 2 would be terrible to drive in > 15mph

Re: 2017 Trailhawk reviews, let's hear em!

Saw a few Trailhawks at the dealer today while I was getting my oil change. I didnt get to test drive any of them (mainly because I really didnt feel like dealing with sales people). But I did get to sit in it. Those seats are incredibly comfortable. The suede interior portion really prevents you from sliding around and I especially like the side bolsters on the seats.

I do want to go take one out for a test drive. Its a massive departure from the overland style trim that I have now, but that aggressive offroad look/capability is tough to deny.

I love love love the seats. Haven't had a complaint by one passenger that has sat in my car. So comfy, and living in Texas where it's hot I like that I got a butt fan

Hold on a second. Are the suede seats ventilated/cooled? If this is true, then that is awesome as I was worried that the suede seats would be hot. Swamp ass on long trips sucks.

Edit: looking at the standard features list, it does say ventilated front seats...cool

Re: 2017 Trailhawk reviews, let's hear em!

Just took delivery of my 2017 Trailhawk 3 days ago and couldn't be happier at this point. Shes all black with red accents, beautiful. Got one with full technology package, air suspension, tow and the v8 5.7L hemi. The car has the speed when I need it and is very comfortable. I absolutely love the seats, front and rear are a/c and heated with Alcantara suede material. My wife's 2016 GC has all leather interior and I find myself sliding all over the place, but these seats keep you still and are super plush and comfortable. I haven't had a chance to play with any off road features yet so can't say anything on that but so far I love it! Already been looking at starting to do things to it lol (hence my presence here, 1st post!). Hope this helps anyone on the fence of getting one or not! Nice to meet you all.

Here's are a few pis:
