anyone test driven both on comparable GC to know if you give up ride quality with 4wd vs 2wd?

Re: 4wd vs 2wd

I've driven all combinations and no, you don't give up any ride quality with 4wd.

2wd Jeeps should be illegal.

Re: 4wd vs 2wd

They don't ride any differently... and with 4wd, you can maintain your status as a man.

Re: 4wd vs 2wd

This is my first jeep and first 4x4. They put me in an overland 4x2 until mine came in and let me tell u I will never get a 2wd again. In the rain I use to fishtail and the traction control would kick in and cut power. My 4x4 overland just moves forward! Rain, hill, no problem. I am so impressed with the traction that my overland has! There is no comparison. I love flooring it when it is wet and leave everyone behind. The security of traction is unreal. There was a tiny bit more compliance in ride between the 2wd.

Re: 4wd vs 2wd

They are "both" 4 wheel independent suspension. There should be no perceptible ride difference. Gone are the days when a 4 wheel drive grand Cherokee was a solid front axle and would ride a little stiffer.
