I won't be making that same mistake when I buy my 2017 or 2018 GC.
So does your Jeep have the air suspension or is it on coil springs?

Rgds.
And get quadralift to help with traversing the flash floods that pass thru Vegas every now and then.

4x4

Getting a two wheel drive Jeep is like buying a Louisville Slugger and using it to hit rocks.

p.s. Love Vegas

4x4 and towing package are both good for resale.

A salesman looking to move stock might tell you that you don't 'need' 4x4 in Vegas. Not his call though is it?

It might not be needed in Dallas either but I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Re: 4x4 or 4x2 HA?

I'm strongly in favor of the 4x4, too. Minimal difference in fuel economy and huge increase in capability when "things are not straight, dry road". 4x4, especially the intelligent systems used these days are beneficial in a wide variety of normal driving conditions including rain.

All four vehicles in our family are 4x4/AWD (Jeep and Subaru...and Kubota heh,heh...) for that reason.

Re: 4x4 or 4x2 HA?

4x2 has coil. Only the 4x4 has the optional air suspension. My friend has a Limited 4x4 with no air suspension.

The main reason I was the 4x4 is for that air suspension. The ride on my 4x2 seems a little rough for the refined SUV it is supposed to be.

IMHO, the air suspension is a must if you can swing the $$. Unless you live in some mythical place with perfect roads, it helps smooth out those rough spots so much....

I am also a huge fan of the ACC (adaptive cruise control). It makes freeway driving a little less tedious. The package also includes the auto braking that gets you a discount on your insurance (to help with the rationalization).

Re: 4x4 or 4x2 HA?

IMHO an SUV that isn't 4x4 or can't go offroad is either a Station Wagon or a Minivan.

That is why I don't own a WK2 SRT.
