Does anyone know if any manufacturer has made a 5.7L bemi supercharger. I have looked absolutely EVERYWHERE and can't find a single thing. Please let me know if you know anything.

Re: 5.7L Hemi Supercharger???

Edelbrock makes a kit for the 5.7L Hemi, but they don't list Jeeps. It might be worth contacting them to see what the possibility of fitting one on a Grand Cherokee would be.

Edelbrock.com - E-Force Superchargers - 2005-2010 Chrysler HEMI - Street Legal Kits

In my opinion, if you want more power in your Jeep, sell it and get an SRT. In the end the SRT likely would be faster, better engineered and cheaper.

YMMV.

Re: 5.7L Hemi Supercharger???

Drop in the a 6.4l V8 and trannie from the SRT8 from 2011 to 2014 might be cheaper than the supercharger. Will a 2014 Viper engine fit?

Or drop in a real performance V8 ie 7l GM crate motor and trannie supercharged or not. You could also drop in a Ford 5l from the Boss Mustang or from Shelby V8 along with a Ford trannie. Besides hp and torque gains your WK2 will also lose 150 to 200lbs since these engines have aluminum blocks.

Probably the best option is to add the tuner version of the Range Rover Supercharged V8 along with trannie. Trannie is the same as 2014 WK2 V8s.
There are tuner versions with over 600hp. Some have 700hp+

How deep are our pockets????

People have tried thr 6.4 and the 6.1 swap, it doesn't work. How much would the engine cost from your precious land rover? 20k? 30k? I know when we had a ford gt come into the dealer we were looking at parts for it, a long block was 30k.

Something about a simple ecu swap isnt all that is required to run the motor and trans. If it is a pre 14 non srt the transmission will have to be changed along with pretty much everything that goes with it, all of the sensors, etc. It is way too involved to be feasible financially.

What part of how deep our your pockets didnt you understand? With enough money and time you can install any engine if it fits. Like dumping a V10 from a M5 into a 3 series.

Viper engine swap would be interesting!

Damn amazing the folks they let work at dealerships these days? So what type of racing do you' love? NASCAR where its racing entertainment? US govt has issued a notice that telling NASCAR they can no longer call it racing anymore and that they must call it racing entertainment. Gawd look at how bad NASCAR and France family f'd up the 24 Hours of Daytona?

Everyone already knows how complete of an idiot you are but since you decided to make it personal apparently you haven't looked under the hood of your jeep because if you did you would see there is no way a V10 wpuld fit in a wk2 engine bay. The 5.7 is shoehorned in enough, let alone the 6.4 which isn't much bigger than the 5.7.
You claim to be an expert on everything you do but never once have I ever seen a shred of evidence of anything you have ever claimed to do. Don't bother now because I really and truly don't care.

No no now that's not true. The transmission will not have to be changed, it will bolt right up to the 545rfe. You can just swap shortblocks and get a tune. Changing the transmission is not feasible b/c it won't be recognized and doesn't have a tcm.

Re: 5.7L Hemi Supercharger???

Oh yes, with enough money you can find someone that will take your money to put any engine in whatever you want. I have seen it many times, and the results have rarely been good, and almost never as good as if it had been done that way from the factory. My business is automotive electronics (race cars, integrating drivetrains in vehicles that were not originally designed for them, etc.), so I often end up being the guy how gets some abomination dropped in his lap and asked to make it work.

There are a lot of people out there like Setoutguy think that just because you can bolt something into something else that it will work. That is the EASY part. Making everything work as intended is another matter. For example, I just finished a project where a drivetrain from one car was put into another that was 10 years older. There are no aftermarket harnesses for this car. It took the mechanics 85hrs to do the mechanical swap with fabrication. It took me 160hrs+ (probably closer to 200 actually) to make/modify the harnesses, get everything so it would work reliably as the factory would have intended, along with wiring diagrams, etc. Multiply those numbers by normal shop labor rate to find what the customer paid. What the customer got was exactly what he wanted, and he knows that he could have bought a modern car with better performance, more comfort, etc., for far less.

That was a relatively straightforward project, in reality swapping a drivetrain from from a modern vehicle into another takes two vehicles. The donor and the recipient. Other projects, like what you guys are talking about are EASILY six figure projects to be done right. That is from experience, not bench racing.

The nag 5 speed is the one that is and has always been in the srt 8 models. The 545 that came behind the 5.7 won't hold up to the torque of the 6.4. Ram owners are frying them with headers tunes and intakes. While they won't immediately grenade the torque rating on that transmission is only 450 or so foot pounds.
