5.7L vs 3.6L Actual MPG?

Just curious what "real" mileage y'all are getting with these two motors?

And how much power and torque difference?

Thanks!

Here we go again. I suspect this discussion will detour from the intended topic.

Yeah man. This topic is already been fought on a nuclear level. Search V6 Vs. V8 threads. You'll see all the pros and cons listed repeatedly in 100 different charts and phrases. Math that breaks down initial investments vs. long term costs and comparisons along with emotional reasons to justify it all as well.

I agree. There is a thread on this already..look at spec sheets to see what the difference in HP/Torque are.

Never got higher than 16.5 in my WK1 Hemi. Never got above 22.1 in 3.6. Expect 17 average on Hemi and 20 average on 3.6.

Now, you will have droves of people telling you their Hemi gets 25 mpg andV6 guys saying they get 27 or 28 mpg from resetting the computer at 55mph on the hwy.

No worries man! Stick around to enjoy all the Tall Tales and oneupsmanship about the 3.6 and 5.7

Actually, you wasted your own time posting this thread when you could have been spending that time searching the forum for answers to your questions. So inefficient...just like the Hemi...according to some.

Re: 5.7L vs 3.6L Actual MPG?

I have owned my 5.7L a little over a year, never get more than 14 in the city.
I don't do enough highway driving to give you an average there.
Hope this helps!

Re: 5.7L vs 3.6L Actual MPG?

I get about 15 city, 21 highway. I also drive fairly slow on the highway and use the throttle like it's made of glass. Not so much in the city though.
