Went to a dealer near me today to get some prices for leasing...would love a Limited but gonna have to go Laredo X due to budget...dealer has an inferno red in stock which I can deal with, but I reallllly love the white...he can order it, but said that for the month of September, they are including $500 in Mopar accessories, and if I order, the truck won't come in til October and that deal will be over.
Does anyone know if he's full of it? Is this an ongoing promotion?
He also claims there isn't another white Laredo X with Hemi within 200 miles (this is on LI) which I find hard to believe, but whatever...
you can check the availability of jeeps in your area through jeep.com. once you find the color and engine combo you can look at the window sticker to see the other options.
Yeah, I did that when I got home, and of course, they are listed as having the exact one in the color I want in stock...I'm going to call about it tomorrow and see what's up.
Sweet! Thanks for the links...I had seen a bunch of them when I had looked earlier in the week, he caught me off guard when he said that. I'll be armed and ready when I speak with him again, lol.
I have a hard time believing that. I see white and black ones on dealers lots more than any other color. I've only seen two WK2s actually being driven on the road. Both were white.
yeah, im not sure about how that works with the vin, but once you find the jeep you like, click on it and most dealer site allow you to view the window sticker. so, youre not actually on jeep.com at that point, its the dealer site, but jeep.com links you to it. very convenient.
I received a call from the sales guy yesterday, he left me a message saying he JUST FOUND OUT that Chrysler is stopping production on the panoramic sunroof so we should REALLY CLOSE THIS DEAL TODAY so I don't lose out.
Come on. Really???
Westbury is a client of the bank that my mom works for, so I would get invoice pricing. I spoke with the owner and he set me up with this salesman. Now I'm just turned off - if this is the sales guy the owner set me up with, what the hell kind of representation is that????

Westbury Jeep had a used Charger I was interested in. Went there and wouldn't drop a dime off that price. I decided even though it was clean it wasn't worth the price (I figured a base SXT MSRP was $27,000 then with rebate, and discount an new one should go for around 23,000 plus tax and tags). A week or two later Joel (owner) joined Challengertalk as a vendor. Posted that he personally like to help anyone and that they should contact him. So I PMed him and expressed interest in that Charger, and asked if can do better on the price. He PMed me back and told me to call his cell.
Here's the B.S I got. Told me it was a one owner car (lie, turned out it was a ex rental). He said he bought it at auction (true, carfax revealed it was auctioned in PA). Told me he paid $18,000 (come on, he sent someone to PA to bid, transported the car back only to make $500)
Told me he couldn't drop the price but could give me free oil changes (I live in westchester). Then when I asked what other fees they charge besides tax and tags. He tells me $650. I ask for what? He's says certifcation, but Didn't tell me exactly what they are certifing. So instead of lowering the price. Now the want me to pay more. I wouldn't buy a set of wiper blades from them.
My last 4 Grand Cherokees, 2 were bought in NJ. The 08 was bought in eastren PA, and the 2011 was bought in Upstate. I'm a firm believer of helping my local economy. But I had it with metro N.Y dealers.
Call the owner back and tell him the story.. that's just crazy talk.. I've heard it before from salesman, all they want to do is close the deal. If you're getting invoice pricing, kindly request a different salesperson.
I heard some weren't shipping with the panoramic sunroof when they were supposed to be there, so I wondering if the rumor of it being discontinued is true or not.
