Re: 6.4L Hemi in WK2 (non SRT8 version)

And on top of that half of the SRT8 owners take the Jeep badge off, so most people have no clue WTF it is. If I had a dollar for each time someone at the gas station asked me "...is that a Jeep?" LOL

You make a valid point regarding "racer". I was thinking mostly about it having a slightly lower front end and reading the WK2 SRT8 forum speculation about side exhaust, and "racer" wasn't a good choice of words. The main concern was being less offroadable due to lower ground clearance.

Any chance the new SRT could be more offroadable. Maybe better ground clearance with air suspension?

Ground clearance is def an issue, the most off road my Jeep gets now is a few dirt roads back home

You could swap the front bumper on a WKII SRT with a normal WKII...

C.A.F.E is a USA regulation. There would be no need for Aston Martin to sell economy cars for the C.A.F.E ratings, plus they would have to sell those 40+MPG cars in the USA. Aston Martin just passes on the penalties to the buyer in the sticker price.

Aston Martin has never built a production car with a V10......mostly V8's and V12's

Actually you are both wrong. This article explains the Aston Martin and CAFE standards.

Re: 6.4L Hemi in WK2 (non SRT8 version)

Remember what SRT stands for, Street and Racing Technology. The only cars that they will put the 6.4L Hemi in is the cars they beef up for the additional power. As someone else said 95% of the people have no clue what a SRT vehicle is or what it can DO!

Re: 6.4L Hemi in WK2 (non SRT8 version)

What they should do is bring the 6.1L back and detune it for a HO model. Say 410HP & 410TQ. Put it in a Overland HO or something. This would be a nice in between for someone that doesn't want the full blown SRT8 look and still wants luxury of the Overland but just make it a M-Sport like BMW does with slightly better performance with the bigger engine and maybe some suspension tweaks. Getting a zero to 60 in say 5.8 secs or something. I would buy this in a heartbeat.
