Who wants to go through every band and every source to get to the one you want. Or every station preset (even ones you never set).

There are too many buttons on that steering wheel.

TWENTY FIVE buttons !!!

Now if you could customize some of those buttons, that would be cool Like Go Home on GPS and please don't ask me to confirm.

I started to get comfortable using voice commands for source, stations, etc.

Prior to that, since I only needed 3 stations preset, I set all the buttons with those three stations repeating themselves. Every button was set. I was never more than two button pushes away from a favorite..

I was thinking of doing that

Our steering aren't too far from this.

I don't always do it at test drive time, but I ALWAYS do it at delivery! Can't believe so many salespeople don't go over such a commonly-used feature.

I may get this wrong, but the left will skip through your presets when on the radio, and the one on the right will change sources...AM to FM, to SXM to SD, to bluetooth,
Yep, exactly.

3 buttons on each side though? I had no idea. Unless they only exist on the higher trims? I'll have to check it out and see if mine has them.

I was thinking it would be nice if you could "roll" the buttons one way or the other to have them go back/forth between presets too, instead of in the same direction. But your idea is a good one.

The voice command feature is awesome, I wish I could control everything with it (didn't know you could change the source). That said, I actually don't find myself using it terribly often. For me it's slow to respond, often requires that I repeat myself (my fault I'm sure), and also if you have passengers and they're talking, it requires that you interrupt them.

Yeah, mine does have the up/down buttons on both sides too. I can't believe I didn't notice them before.

Mine went over it during the test drive, but then I'd been bugging him about buying a newer GC for almost 2 years. He also went over pretty much all buttons on delivery, plus had a small booklet produced on dealer logo with tips and tricks and howtos taken from the OM plus training, although pretty much all of them have been noted in these forums.

When it gets more stable, we need a "Stupid UConnect Tricks" thread.

I'm kind of waiting for a "UConnect -- what's the point" thread. Maybe if you have nav, it makes sense...but without nav, haven't sensed enough utility (for me) to even bother registering the thing.
