75th G.C. Face or wait and see 2017 ?

That, my new & trusted "informants" is my dilemma. This is my 1st post & attempt to see who else is pondering - Should I wait and be Glad or Sad come MY'17 !? Almost instantly fell in love when saw the HD photos of the Laredo E 75th in Recon Green. None of the other color choices seem to work well with the Bronzed grill surrounds. Well maybe Rhino. So Marion, Milous, or anyone else "in-the-know" have any words, ideas about IF FCA will keep the New look (temporary ? 75th front end)? By nature (born this way) I am a perfectionist gone-amuck! I can't seem to Pull the trigger, I think mostly, because JEEP keeps Teasing new updates & upgrades & new models (soon!), and on & on it goes. $40 G's is my limit, unfortunately (don't cry), so That 75th Laredo with Off-Road Adventure 1 keeps tugging at my wallet (minus the nice 18" wheels /wish the 17"came in Bronze -hint hint) . But with all the New Stuff under the hood & Carriage I tend to want to WAIT 9 months to see if any Issues arise in '16, plus there is the gamble on keeping the new look versus going back to its normal front end come 2017 ? I should stop fighting with myself?

Replying to my own post? Well I saw Marion's Reply in the other 75th posting on pg. 3 - matter of factly stating, at this Early stage, that the 75th Front Look will only be on the 2016 75th Models.! To that I say, bah humbug, I can't see how this can be so "Matter-of-Fact" so soon !
ARE YOU SO 100% SURE MARION ?

It's MARLON, not MARION.

He works at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP).

Yeah, I think he's in a pretty good position to be sure.

Stop fighting with yourself and just buy one!

I think Marlon was only commenting on 2016s that he is currently seeing how they are building them.

Well MDBONES, maybe we can get this half-assed topic some momentum ? My humble pie apologies to MARLON - perhaps it is time for some Distance (driving) glassed (again) ? Are you the go to guy for any & all Errors ? I know those things, but, that does not make the Marlon the go to guy for all things Jeep Assembly Line (I humbly assume). I bow before thee if I have sinned and ask forgiveness ! :roll eyes: But seriously (I should probably be asking Marlon), WHY would FCA spend ALL the Necessary Time & $$$$ to tweet the Front Design (not to mention all the other Refresh items on the list) and have a Vendor Redo the Headlights just for the Anniversary ? In the shortened year, what they gonna sell of these - ? - 20,000 ? Only to revert back to the way the Regular 2016's look for 2017 ? IMHO I can't see that ! Of course I also understand that there are certain things Marlon can not divulge and must give redirected answers to (job security let's say). So maybe IF enough of us state our wishes (list) loud enough / often enough . . . Mr. Manley or who ever pulls the strings may see it our way . . . ? ALL OPINIONS WELCOME, THAT IS WHAT THIS THREAD COULD BE, as well as getting me to "just buy the thing now" ! I will wait dammit till the very end of order time on the 75th Laredo E or the very beginning of orders on a 2017 and hope the Front has not changed back . Who knows maybe they'll tweet it a bit more just so those who buy the 75th don't get all pissed off ! ?

Re: 75th G.C. Face or wait and see 2017 ?

^^^^^^^

Off the meds again? Kinda reading a lot into things.

No one knows what the direction the 2017 will go ... perhaps the 75th front bumper design will apply to all the 2017's without headlight washers or perhaps not. It is just a front bumper fascia so I don't see why in the world Jeep would have to use it for any other model or year. Car companies change these plastic parts all the time, no biggie.

What we DO KNOW is that the total new platform won't be until the 2019 model year. So, if you really like the 2016 75th go for it as it is three more years before the 2019 new platform (which you may not even like anyway)...good luck.

NO, still taking my meds . . . and NO, not really, I do read a lot, but not "into things" ! Yes, WE do know these things, but come on, can't a guy have SOME wishful thinking (out loud) ? I want to think you might be wrong on "these plastic parts" stuff. I hope the day comes when I can Laughingly say, "I told you so". :slap fight:

Yes yes, I was born with cotton in my mouth, thus all the Dry Wit & attempt at Humor, hee hee ! But, the topic itself was a serious attempt to see how others felt about it - apparently no one ! - Hard to believe No Body has any concerns about the "new stuff" in/on the 2016 (regardless if Reg. or 75th versions) ? Surprising is my first reaction, oh well . . . . . . . . .
Oh, the "guy" is me, FlyFinaticLou, Looooooooong time Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram Rider and Owner - current being a 2003 Ram 1500. It takes me to those fly-fishing spots "normal cars" can't get to and why I'm overdue for a new ride (that G.C.). My members intro also says I am a retired Vet. / Navy / '04, and no I am not looking for "thanks" when I offer that up - I just honestly am proud of my service and the things I achieved in my 20 yrs. Well, seems this thread my Die Off, but "i'll Be Back" sooner or later with words of wit & wisdom.

Well FLYFINATICLOU, you may be right on the glasses... that's why I put Marlon's name in caps for you so you could tell the difference between an L and an I.

Only the ones that are that obvious. Usually there are plenty of others out here that beat me to it

Well, that depends. If you like the current 2016 model, get one off the lot right now. If you like the 2016 75th, and want Recon Green, production on that color does not launch until 3/01. You'd probably be driving it in late March or April. Alternatively, if you want something that looks different than either of the aforementioned, order banks for the 2017s open in just 19 weeks. Or about 10 weeks, roughly speaking, after your 75th Recon would have arrived.
