I was referring to this attitude where people put themselves above everyone else. I just laugh at these people that walk around with their nose up in the air.
Well said, my man, well said.

I've been on the fence about when to buy my '14. What would help tremendously would be a comprehensive comparision of new Jeep issues compared to prior years. Sales have been brisk to say the least and the more vehicles sold, the more post we're going to be seeing describing dire situations.

I could be mistaken but didn't I see a TV report a year or so ago showing Chrysler employees, on break, swigging beers and hitting the chronic? Maybe they're off probation

Either you are spot on or people need to learn to love third rate manufacturing that wastes our time while inept dealers or deceitful dealers tell people things are normal when they are not.

Others may wish to twist your intent and point out the problem is really with you as I guess you are some how deficient or the problem and not manufacturing or dealer problems.

Should comments really be about what is wrong or deficient with the poster if there are other viable explanations available?

Re: 9500 Mile update

"I agree that you should get what your paying for and your dealer should be doing everything possible to get it corrected. Its like I said most the problems on here seem to be poor dealer service. There are some things that will just be fixed with a software flash. I can also say that not everyone is having problems. There is no reason you should need multiple visits to a dealer for the same problem unless your dealer sucks."

My main issue is that entirely new things keep popping up. It has been essentially a vicious cycle for me. Go to the dealership for an issue, have them attempt to resolve it, and then have an entirely new issue pop up in a week or so. First it was the standing/sloshing water under the seat (which could in fact be responsible for everything subsequent). This manifested during the first week or two of ownership. Funny thing was, the car had never been out in the rain (which led them to suspect a faulty A/C hose - but I really didn't use the A/C that much because I only had the car for two weeks). Then I noticed a misaligned rear hatch (which I noticed simply because I saw the issue discussed on these threads). WHen they were looking at the rear hatch, I also in for the transmission, which hesitates then clunks loudly at times at very slow speeds (not in ECO). Then it was myriad UConnect issues (which included blank screens, locked screens. greyed-out buttons and 911/UConnect issues i.e. buttons on the mirror not functioning. Now I have the blind spot monitoring issue and a automatic wiper issue. Both of these issues made themselves known via the 7 inch EVIC. It's just one thing after another. Oh, and I am on my second dealer now because the first was absolutely insane. I went for a 10 am appointment (and was 15 minutes early) and it was mobbed in there. The service tech said it would be at least 2 hours before they even brought my car back to be looked at. I asked, "well then, what good is it that I actually made an appointment?" His response was that "it's just really busy today so do you want to reschedule?" WTF! I was furious. This is been a very frustrating experience obviously. So, if I've come off as being harsh or caustic, I apologize. In any event, I still believe the JGC is a brilliantly conceived vehicle. It's the actual execution that sucks.

Re: 9500 Mile update

I thought that in late July you said you had no issues, but were thinking about getting rid of your Jeep because you read about other's problems. Maybe that was somebody else.

Exactly. I am not some blue-blooded snob expecting a perfect vehicle or a perfect dealer experience. That's simply not who I am. I was quite surprised when a few posters here came at me hard, as if I were somehow the problem! LOL Look, I buy new precisely so that I don't run into problems. The odds are supposed to be better with a new car than with pre-owned, right (although that may simply not be true anymore)? Of course new cars have issues, but is this even close to normal? For me, for what I've experienced to-date, it is not. I have had more new cars than I can count over the years, and I have never experienced anything like this.

I have also never seen a forum lit up like this with issue after issue. So is all of this merely coincidental, or can it be attributed to 3rd-rate manufacturing. It's also true that dealer efficiency and competence enters into the mix, especially if one is experiencing numerous issues (vs. just having to visit for routine maintenance). Going in for an oil change is one thing, but trying be patient while a tech rationalizes why there is standing water underneath your seats - well, that's a bit much to take. I love the truck and wish I could just drive it in peace.

That was me for sure. I had issues from the start, but I was really trying to downplay them at first. I am not typically a negative person and look to be optimistic, especially with a vehicle I really like. But after this last batch of issues, I really changed my tune. Check my earlier posts, you'll see where I complained of the "water slosh" phenomena and the UConnect issues. I also had other stuff pop up as well (tranny, misaligned hatch etc), but I wasn't as concerned with that so I didn't complain.

Your right that was a good catch. I responded to that thread asking why you would get rid of a vehicle because someone else had problems. Now all of a sudden he has all the problems that have been reported on this forum. I am starting to think this is bs. He keeps talking about the trans shifting and uconnect issues but have any of the tsb's been done?

Just curious but does high rep power coincide with attacking other posters or am I misinterpreting things here?

Re: 9500 Mile update

Weck, JP, honestly, what reason do I have to misrepresent my issues. I was VERY complimentary of my GC early on. Go back and read the posts. As time passed, things got progressively worse for me. I mentioned UConnect issues, I mentioned th sloshing issues. I also experienced tranny issues and have a misaligned hatch. This past weekend, new issues manifested. I can take pictures of my EVIC if you'd prefer. This is ridiculous that you would attempt to impugn my integrity, that I would need to validate myself. Bunch of blind fools.

Amazing, isn't it, DT? I suggest those posters who have an issue with me to send me a PM. I would be more than happy to take this discussion off-line. I come here to share some of the issues I'm having, to share my frustrations and I get attacked by fanboys! This is a bunch of bullshit. How many times do I have to repeat that I REALLY like my Jeep and it kills me to be going through this.

You really don't need to prove that you are having problems. I'm sure you are having some of the software glitches that many have reported. It's just that sometimes people read about problems and then they think oh I must be having that problem also. No car is perfect so you can always look and find things. Have you had the updates done to the trans and upgraded your ucoonect to the latest version? I think that may resolves a lot of your complaints. Post a picture of that tailgate so we can see how misaligned it is.
