A few observations about the 2014 Summit compared with today's Summit

I noticed there are a few differences with the current Summit as opposed to the 2014 Summit (of course there are). I think the biggest differences are:

11.3" ground clearance (2014)
headlight washers (2013 has it already but my 2012 doesn't)
automatic folding mirrors (2013, 2014, again, wish mine had that)
adaptive headlights (2014, sometimes I wish I had that)
Jeep brown interior (I like sitting in what feels like a baseball glove with the saddle interior)
7" screen on the dashboard
fake leather (pleather) in the 2014
suede-like headliner (2014 (that's kinda nice though))
capless gas tank (nice!)
etc., etc.

I think the biggest improvement on the 2014, though, is that it doesn't have that big, bright, frickin' green light that shows that your headlights are on! Also, I do wonder if the seat warmer is still a tiny donut that surrounds our rears that takes 5 minutes to warm up?

I am concerned with the Polarization axis of the New 7" Speedometer LCD display. Did the engineers take into account polarized sunglasses?

I've yet to see an auto LCD that did. Except that really sweet one in the Range Rovers that shows 2 pictures at once for the two front seats, but you know that was sorta special.

more like manual folding mirrors. I have to hit a button to make mine fold every time I get out. I forget most of the time.

Does the '14 have cooled seats? The description on the Jeep site mentions heat, but no cool. Other than the power train, I am not impressed with the changes. I still have not grown tired of the saddle interior, I still catch myself admiring the dashboard while I am sitting at a stoplight!

I'm sure it does. They shouldn't be going backwards unless it was a big dissapointment. Now I can't say for sure how well they work in the summer but they made me extra cold last month when I hit the cooled seat button instead of the heated seat button. I was freaking out lol. Thought I pissed myself or something hahaha. Then my wife said you hit the wrong button...

The 2014 Summit looks more refined and luxurious. I hope it looks great in person....I might be tempted...might.

I have not grown tired of the saddle interior at all. It looks great and almost two years later I still get very positive comments.

The cooled seats are great down here in Florida, they do work well.

I'll take that over having to walk into traffic to push the mirror in which is what I need to do.

OMG, I thought I was the only one that still admired looking at the saddle dashboard.

As for the cooled seats, well, if the area under the passenger seat isn't cool, then the "cool" air coming out of the seats isn't going to be cool. That's what we found. A lot of times it wasn't very useful.

"Ventilated seats" are listed in the feature availability document.

http://wk2jeeps.com/2014/2014_wk2_fe...ailability.pdf

Regarding the fake leather - my understanding is that some parts of the seats in the 2011-2013 Overland/Summit are fake leather, but that most of it is real. I have not been able to tell what parts are fake in mine. Is this going to be different on the 2014?

I agree that they should bring back the Saddle interior. In my Overland I have saddle seats, lower door panels, and armrest, but a black leather on the dash and upper door trim. It looks great. The brown is ugly and the blue/brown is too dark.

Mine has the same interior as yours. The tops/fronts of the seats and headrests are leather (parts that you touch when you sit) but the sides and backs of the seats are fake. In mine it's easy to see and feel the difference, if you're looking for it. Even though there's a mix, I still think they did a pretty good job of matching it and I'm happy with it.
