a lil help

2015 JGC limited, ECO diesel, customer preferred (22h) with lux group II, dual pane sunroof, tow pkg., 20" alum. wheels, uconnect nav

sticker was $50,5000.
they say I can have it for $47,000

so I ask, is this a good deal?

thanks again... I know what i want, just want to get it right the first time.

Re: a lil help

I just purchased a new 2015 Summit (gas V6) last week in the DC area for about the same price. I think you can do much better if you shop around a bit more.

I also think they're about to up the incentives to $2K from the $1K it is right now, I think.

Re: a lil help

the eco diesel is about $4000 more than the 3.6 gas, so, I'm a little confused. this means its a good deal?

Re: a lil help

I would think not suck a good deal, even w/ the diesel the Summit is two trim levels up and I got it for about the same price. I wold think you could get that down to $44K or less pretty easily...

Re: a lil help

Always evaluate a deal relative to Invoice, not MSRP. Pretty much anyone can get 1% below invoice via an affiliate registration and a lot of folks are easily getting 3-6% below invoice, depending on the market area they are buying in.

Re: a lil help

Agreed. Just a few minutes searching on Google will give you the invoice prices. I ended up being about 3.6% below invoice on mine

Re: a lil help

paid 47K for a new Summit V8. Even though I know yours is a Diesel, you would think a Limited would be priced decently below the high end Summit. I dunno.

Re: a lil help

That is the price before any rebates. You should get lower than what you're shooting for when all applicable rebates/bonus-cash are subtracted as well. They're just trying to get more than they need from you like they do with anyone that didn't do their research.

Re: a lil help

been there a few times and always got a 'decent' deal. trading in 2012 ram 1500. sticker on that was $35,700. walked out the door for just under $28,000. they say they couldn't give the same deals that dodge could for their vehicles... understood, but give me somethin' right? guess I will start lower and see what I can do.

Re: a lil help

As long as you're willing to walk out if they will not give you a deal that you consider reasonable, that's a good approach. Knowledge is power when it comes to negotiating. Be prepared and you'll do fine.
