A new kind of rock rail/slider?

I saw the following pics recently and noticed that rock slider. It doesn't look like current Mopar's and has little more "step".

Does any of youguys know about this rock rail + step?

Re: A new kind of rock rail/slider?

That looks like the rock rail available from Mopar for the 2011 JGC. Its a Mopar product, but I couldn't find it in their catalog or my local dealer so I ordered it from justforjeeps.com. Here is a link to it.

Re: A new kind of rock rail/slider?

Yeah, first, I thought it's Mopar's rock rail too. But if you look more closely, it has little more flat area so it can also be used as step.

Re: A new kind of rock rail/slider?

Those pics are of a Mopar Underground modified 2011 JGC, its looks like the same rock rail. Maybe they mounted it slightly farther out if that's possible.

Re: A new kind of rock rail/slider?

I'll try to clean mine up today and get some better pics.

It almost looks like the bottom trim (that is normally removed) is still on the vehicle but flayed out.

I believe they are 17" Moab wheels off a JK Rubicon with 32" BFG MTs

Re: A new kind of rock rail/slider?

Would this rock rail prevent against parking lot door dings? I am not sure if it is the correct height to be hit first before the body work. Any idea?
