Looks like the Jeep does not do this :-(
The 2014 subaru is similar to the Chrysler system, in that you also have to press one button to resume after the vehicle stops on its own.

I think it's still good, you'll really notice the difference in traffic.. Watching it in action seems really weird, no peddles needed.. Scary stuff :-)

The vehicle should give pause and verify if the vehicle in front of it is moving consistently, and if so, what's the speed (so as not to gun the engine and send you flying around).
It'd be a little hard to be that twitchy over 15mph. I would hope that the ACC can react quickly but smoothly, while in motion, is all I was saying. You don't have to react proportionally, which should make it super easy to make it smooth, but reactive.

Thought as much that's bad news for current owners.. Any news as to why it can't be done?

My GC Overland built Date: June 3, 2013 Time: 15:41:43 shows
NH1P Enhanced Adaptive Cruise Control and I was surprised on Sunday to find hard braking followed by "Collision Warning" -BRAKE BRAKE!! when I was motoring along at 50 mph and the car in front of me decided to slow fast for R hand turn and my Jeep nearly stopped.

Love my Jeep!

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control Stop-go

When I am on a trip I use it for all long hauls. I turn it off when I come to towns.
I am very impressed with it. Works like a champ.

I haven't ordered one, but I have to admit that if I already had a 2014, I would not be too happy either.

Not to impressed with the way they slipped that in there. I could see if they added it on as a new feature for the 15s but just quietly changing like that. If you happen to order the wrong day of the week or buy the wrong one off the lot oh well you don't get it!?!? Is this just the first? Wonder how many more items like this will be added on at a later date to the same model year?? Not to swift Jeep.

It happens a lot with various vehicles... not just Jeep. Again as always, not defending them on this but it is pretty normal in the auto industry.

First time I have experienced this in my car buying. I guess the old don't buy the first of a new model makes a lot of sense not just from a quality stand point but in terms of what you will miss by not waiting a couple of months.
