Re: Adaptive Cruise Control Stop-go

Guys (and gals),

Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but a bit of an update. I've now asked two separate dealers to look into ordering a new Overland from the factory, and I've asked them specifically to make sure the car they order has the NH3P code on it, as opposed to the NH1P, and that the generated window sticker says "Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop." Both dealers have come back to me that they only option they see to order is NH1, and that NH1P and NH3P aren't even options. Is there a wording you all can suggest I give to them to make this as clear as possible?

Thanks!

Yep, even if your dealer says it won't (as long as you have the adaptive cruise in a package that is)

The P only means package, as on the overland the adaptive cruse is part of the advanced technology package. On the summit i think it would be NH3S S for standard. So the NH1 is the old type NH3 is with stop. Hope this helps

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control Stop-go

My best advice if you can wait a few weeks have them build one for you, then you know you will be getting NH3. No need to order with the code, the Advanced technology group now comes with the NH3. As far as one on the lot ask to see the build sheet, for an Overland it needs to have the code NH3P for the adaptive cruise control/stop

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control Stop-go

Does all this also apply to SRT models? If I order one now, will it come with the Stop funcionality?

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control Stop-go

Just an FYI, this indeed is stop and go. I used it the other day and it brought my Overland all the way down to a stop. The stop was less than a second however the speed resumed when the traffic started to move with no input from me.

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control Stop-go

Has anyone seen or personally posted a video of the '14 GC ACC with stop functionality? It would be interesting to see how it (the vehicle, center driver information center, braking, etc) react during a test. I know its tough to predict a situation while videoing.

I wish Jeep corporate kept the website up to date with its available technology. With them finally offering ACC w/stop functionality they are keeping pace with competitors, they should be singing from the hills "oh yeah we can do that too!!"
