Just found out that European model will have stop and go feature, so the mules that were tested with stop and go we're actually for European spec vehicles. my dealer said that, they will not be available on launch vehicles but September/October deliveries..

When will parallel park feature be available on GC, Maybe MY15? Or not for this generation..

Hmm, this traffic jam assistant on the Audi from the video will be available on the upcoming BMW X5, too (Start of production for this feature: 12/2013, works up to 25 mph as long as you keep one hand on the steering-wheel).

the start up was pretty quick within the three seconds, and also after pressing resume. Thats why set at one bar (one second) I am confident you could use it to merge into the Holland tunnel. Where 8 lanes of traffic at the toll need to merge into two lanes, without allowing every hoopla to merge in front of you. albeit as I said before this is not the designed use.

Should work great, short stops, she doe's all the lifting. Little longer you need to lift your foot on to the brake then hit resume, really not bad at all. In the the real world it works better than just fine.

Glad I was lucky enough to make the cut for the 2014.5

Sounds good glad it is working well for you :) makes me want it more! But that's life I usual keepem 8-9 years so this Summit is here for a while will check out the 2023 model in few years LOL. Glad you like your jeep enjoy!

I keep My vehicles about the same. Maybe our 2023's will be on the line together! Imagine what wonders we can look forward to then!

Glad others have been able to test. I have been out of town and have not yet got the new Jeep sealed and detailed so I have not been driving it. I did do the correction on the clear coat last night so I can start the sealant process and hopefully start driving the new(er) Jeep soon. :)

Just visited the dealer since they have a Summit on hold for me.
I checked the build date and it seems to be end of July.
The dealer pulled up an option list on his computer.
The list shows code NH3S and states Adaptive Cruise Control w/Stop.
I guess I may just pull the trigger and trade my 2011 Summit for the 2014.
Also shows code LSRS - Forward Collision Warning Plus.

Go for it! The 2014.5's are great!

Hey guys, brand new to the site and to Jeeps in general. I've had my eye on a 2014 Overland for about a month now, and actually almost pulled the trigger last week...until I saw this thread! ACC w/stop would be crucial for where I live, so thank you guys for sharing this info, it saved me from what would have been a LOT of buyer's remorse.

That being said, the dealer is now refusing to acknowledge that late-July builds (and later) have improved ACC! They insist that their June production Overland has the most up-to-date features, and that Jeep has told them there have been no mid-year changes. Is there anything I can show the dealer to set them straight and have them help me look for a later-production Overland?

Sorry for the wall of text, and thanks again for being such a helpful community!

Yes. You can look at the window sticker and see that the older ones don't say "with stop" on them. I own two and one has it and one does not. My dealer was also unaware of the changes. You could follow them in their Jeep they want to sell you and when you crash into them you can prove to them that it doesn't have the "with stop" option, LOL. Here is what the new sticker looks like.

I have uploaded two Window Sticker PDF's one with Stop one without. Also, there is a $100 price increase for the "Advanced Technology Group" package.

Both of these cars are available to purchase from Ferman Jeep in New Port Richey, Florida...

1973Commando, you're awesome. Thank you for being so thorough.

I just got off the phone with the dealer, and they are insisting that ACC w/stop is a feature that's existed since the 2013 model year, and that all 2014s have it, the only difference is that Chrysler has recently started calling it "with stop" on window stickers.

I'm hesitant to take the dealer's word for it. Can anyone else confirm/deny that this is the case? Any early-production 2014 owners being able to ride with ACC all the way down to a full stop?

Thanks, as always!

Thank you, guys. When he calls back, I'll make sure to set him straight.

I'm finding this whole process incredibly frustrating. This is the second dealer that has either lied to me or told me I'm wrong (that the ACC was updated mid-year). It's astounding that the customer is the only one with any good information about the product here.

Of course, I have you all at this forum to thank. Hopefully I can find a dealer worth a damn sometime soon, I'm very stoked to get myself into a new Overland.

I wouldn't necessarily assume the dealer is doing this to talk you into buying the vehicle without the feature. They don't like to admit when they are wrong and they always pretend to know the answer.
I stopped by a random Jeep dealer to look at the JGC's.
I told them the Saddle Interior was being discontinued for 2014. They insisted I was wrong in an angry way. Why? Because they are car salesmen. It was clear I liked the interior and here was one that had it. But they said, don't buy this one there will be more????? I have only known a few car salesmen to be any good.

Another time at a Lincoln dealer, I said which cars can be flat towed behind a motorhome all four wheel down, he asked around, came back and said none. I said get me an owners manual, any car. I opened up the manual and showed him where it said they could. BTW only like 2 Lincolns can't be flat towed.

They would rather convince you their lie is the truth than sell you a car.

BTW did you ask why the $100 price change. Charge for the paper toner I assume to add the word "stop".

NH1P = Enhanced Adaptive Cruise Control

NH3P = Adaptive Cruise Control / Stop

sales men are just that. They sell, they don't know everything and I would not expect them to know everything. If they did, they might not sell cars any more. Just like service guys. When you have a problem that has been going on for years, and you take yours in and tell them the issue, they have NEVER heard of anyone having that issue. It is just funny. They hate an educated consumer for sure.

Guys (and gals),

Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but a bit of an update. I've now asked two separate dealers to look into ordering a new Overland from the factory, and I've asked them specifically to make sure the car they order has the NH3P code on it, as opposed to the NH1P, and that the generated window sticker says "Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop." Both dealers have come back to me that they only option they see to order is NH1, and that NH1P and NH3P aren't even options. Is there a wording you all can suggest I give to them to make this as clear as possible?

Thanks!

#234 · (Edited)
My best advice if you can wait a few weeks have them build one for you, then you know you will be getting NH3. No need to order with the code, the Advanced technology group now comes with the NH3. As far as one on the lot ask to see the build sheet, for an Overland it needs to have the code NH3P for the adaptive cruise control/stop

#236 ·
Yes, anything built from now on will have the stop feature.

#237 ·
Just an FYI, this indeed is stop and go. I used it the other day and it brought my Overland all the way down to a stop. The stop was less than a second however the speed resumed when the traffic started to move with no input from me.

Has anyone seen or personally posted a video of the '14 GC ACC with stop functionality? It would be interesting to see how it (the vehicle, center driver information center, braking, etc) react during a test. I know its tough to predict a situation while videoing.

I wish Jeep corporate kept the website up to date with its available technology. With them finally offering ACC w/stop functionality they are keeping pace with competitors, they should be singing from the hills "oh yeah we can do that too!!" :)

NO NH3 Cruise with Stop for the SRT models...
Woah woah nooooooo! This is one reason I waited until August. Any reason for this?

#253 ·
Thanks Willx/Milous/Scottina , guess I can get over it with those logical reasons...

Mine still waiting for shipping, but falls in this date range. Will Jeep do the software update before mine ships, or only if I have problems with this after I get the Jeep? - Which will be to late if I find out after it does not work, because that could mean an accident could occur.
