Adaptive Cruise with Stop operation Question

When active and it brings the Jeep to a stop due to a traffic jam - does it disengage, or does it stay active, hold the car, and restart the car when the car in front of you moves again? (i.e. can you just leave it on for some time in a jam?)
Thank you.

(I ask because, for example, BMW's system will hold the car indefinitely and start to creep when able; whereas Infiniti's system will disengage after being stopped for a few seconds from what I understand.)

It's been out since this summer.

Lol. Oh I was busy racking up miles on mine to even get the memo! I'm guessing the early builds can get the update?

Re: Adaptive Cruise with Stop operation Question

After a stop, it will hold for about three seconds and disengage if traffic doesn't start moving again. You can hit resume on the steering wheel once traffic moves and it will start moving on its own. And from what I've read so far, it cannot be added to earlier builds.

So more like the Infiniti system - too bad it doesn't hold as long as necessary.
Thank you.
