Add hooks to headliner (with pano)?

Does anyone have photos of the WK2 with the headliner removed with a pano roof. I would like to add a hook or two to the headliner to secure a bungee net behind the rear seats to prevent my dog from sticking his nose on my rear passengers. I have attached the net to the sides but it droops enough for him to get his snout over the net and push it down. I don't want a pet barrier because any rattle will drive me crazy. I am looking for a point where I can attach the top of the bungee to keep it closer to the headliner.

I am sure there are more elegant solutions than that, which are also more effective and less costly. The problem is that Amazon.com only sells only a few hundreds or so products in the dog barrier category and you run the risk of not liking any. Wouldn't that be a bummer?

Less costly than a $15 cargo net that doesn't make any noise? A small hook in the headliner is not going to take any elegance away from my vehicle. I do not want a pet barrier as I previously stated. I am well aware of Amazon, but thanks.

Re: Add hooks to headliner (with pano)?

I like the idea, nubby. I don't have my Jeep yet, but once I do get it, I'll likely do some "exploratory surgery" that will involve pulling down the headliner. I'm looking to see what it would take to get the Mopar pet barrier to work in there with a pano roof (Mopar says it's incompatible. I suspect that where the barrier mounts to the roof is also where the shade slides to).

If nobody posts the pics you're looking for before I get to it, I'll get them up ASAP. My projected delivery is 18 November, but I sincerely doubt that will happen at this point since I'm still showing D1 in MOTS. Worst case, though, I should have the Jeep by mid-December and have the headliner out for a look by Christmas.

Meantime, can you post pics of what you have done with the bungee net (and let us know where you got it / what size you got)?

Try a couple of suction cup hooks on the glass.

I usually keep the shade closed. It would also be too far forward. I am hoping there is some type of support that I can attach hook to.

Re: Add hooks to headliner (with pano)?

This is the net I'm using and the anchor points included with the net. They also have sticky backs but they don't hold. I put two anchor points above the rear side windows.

Re: Add hooks to headliner (with pano)?

Mopar Pet Barrier does not rattle at all. Anchored at four points directly to truck body. Yes it fits a 2014 Overland and seats do recline (partially), both mis-information from dealer.
I did not notice any attachement points above the headliner when installing the barrier. But did not get a good look. Headliner partially lowered to secure anchor points above tailgate opening, very rear of cargo area. Could see bottom of shark fin antenna but that is about it. Headliner has velcro around pano edges, may be possible to detach these and look at the area of interest.

Anchor points are what I need for my ideas. I am going to try something tonight.
As for the Mopar barrier does it work with the pano roof?

Re: Add hooks to headliner (with pano)?

I swear I read on a Mopar accessories site that the pet barrier isn't compatible with the pano roof. I couldn't figure out why, though.

Just found KONE-DAWG's post in the export forum with pictures.

Clearly I've misled myself somehow. Think I'll go ahead and order the Mopar barrier.

Yes definitely works with Pano
Just have to be extra careful when lowering the headliner
