Re: Advanced tech package

i've also learned now how the +/- buttons on the wheel will adjust the ACC goal speed by 1mph when tapped, or by 5mph (up/down) if held for a second or so (or multiples of 5 if held longer).

so when approaching a slower speed limit zone i will press and hold the - button to go from say 65 down to 50 or 45 and the car will slow gently or more abruptly automatically depending on the amount and traffic.

[snipped text] .

I knew about the 1mph change, and been tapping 5 times to change from 65 down to 60. Now You've made it simpler. THANKS for sharing!!

Re: Advanced tech package

Man. Definitely going to ensure I "Tech Out" my next vehicle (WK3). I never had the technology inside my vehicles so I thought that the current Altitude had some very nice bells and whistles.... FCW, ACC, Blind spot monitoring, Reverse warning. Just amazing what goes into the vehicles now for safety.

Loving the stories so keep them coming on why the "Adv. Tech Package" is a must add-on.

Re: Advanced tech package

the front and rear parking sensors are wonderful. i now just wish i had side sensors too. my garage is a bit snug with a second car in it, and i'm pretty sure the gc is wider than my old explorer was. but now i can go just about all the way to the wall easily by watching the indicators and listening to the tones. i use the folding mirrors feature too to allow me to get a bit closer to the one wall. all good stuff!

Chry-Fiat. Can fix your requirement for side sensors by introducing 360 side cameras.
Not sure why they aren't on this truck yet.

There are also off road benefits to adding 360 cameras.

Why stop there?
Add suspension/wheel cameras for rough trail riding for precision wheel placement.

Re: Advanced tech package

Advanced tech package on a Limited would be tempting to me if it were not necessary to also get luxury package. But I don't want lux, and $5K to get tech is way too much.

I made that same mistake. I just fixed it.

I had limited with tow and 8.4AN and I went with overland with adv tech.
It's only about $5k more.

Besides Forward Collision.

You get

Auto Highbeam - wonderful feature.
ACC
Blind Side Monitor - very slick
LED lights
Quad lift
Ventilated seats
Sun roof
Tow package
8.4AN
Folding mirrors
Rain sense wipers

Besides a bunch more cosmetic stuff.

If these extra saftey features save you from one fender bender it will pay for itself.

I'm guessing the 2013s don't have the +/- feature as mine does have ACC but no +/- on the steering wheel.

Re: Advanced tech package

My MY12 has the +/-...same buttons as the set/resume. MY13 should be identical.

Re: Advanced tech package

Excellent feature and worked on my first day home from the dealer. I was looking out to the pastures, and some idiot did the emergency stop in front. It sure wakes you up!
