Re: Agreed to the terms of my new '14 Overland today

So the black overland came in today. Headed over to pick it and walking into a surprise. An SRT had also come in. I should have known to not even test drive, but I did . . . and it was all over from there. Put the deposit down and finished the deal for a white SRT coming next week. That thing is a beast - Can't wait!

If you select the analog speedometer, you can choose all sorts of info that will reside within the circle. It is selected with the buttons on the left side of the wheel.
Could you provide a pic or two illustrating this? I am having trouble following. Haven't seen a 14 in person yet (soon).

Re: Agreed to the terms of my new '14 Overland today

Buying a '14. I've always loved the SRT. I almost bought one back in '09, I just never could really justify the spending that much on a vehicle . . . and still can't, but I figured why not - I work as hard as I do for things like this.

If you're offered to drive one . . . don't do it! You'll be hooked

Re: Agreed to the terms of my new '14 Overland today

I'm looking to get out of my '13 Overland (same exact you had - but bright white with saddle brown) I got an offer for $39k with 1200 miles on it. I told them to come back with a better number, but it was a straight buyout not a trade, so who knows. I'm going around this weekend to try and get a better number to sell the Overland.
Congrats on the '14. I need something with better gas mileage than my Hemi and don't know if a '14 V6 would cut it.

Re: Agreed to the terms of my new '14 Overland today

$39 sounds pretty good to me. They originally told me $40, but of course when I actually came in to finish the deal, it was down to $38. I got them back up to $40 but then they took $1000 b/c I removed all the chrome and changed the wheels and didn't have the original anymore. I would imagine it being all customed and blacked out that they will put a premium price tag on it but I figure that was fair, + I got the tax break which was a huge help. You can get a new '13 overland with the V8 for about $41 b/c there is a new rebate this month from Jeep - Thanks Jeep, HA!

1,200 miles and you're selling it cuz of poor gas mileage? How many tank could you have gone though by now, 4 maybe 5? Taking a bath on sale / trade for gas mileage seems like bad personal finance math unless you buy a Prius.

Gas is not the only reason. I have a handful and will be sad to see the jeep go. I won't do it if I get hosed on the deal because the benefits would not out weigh the loss of money. I've already gotten a couple good outright purchase quotes at or near my buyout and I Ddnt put anything down so we' ll see.

Are you sure about this? I would prefer the silver if it is available to order on a 2014.

Can anyone else confirm?

Thanks!

Sounds good. I'm supposed to pick up my 2014 Summit today...but can't seem to let go my 2008 Overland. I'm getting the new one for a bit below invoice and they'll give me 17K for mine (need to haggle on that).

Re: Agreed to the terms of my new '14 Overland today

Thanks for the review. I have a 2011 Summit. I am looking forward to the opportunity to test drive a 2014 Summit. Very interested in the improvements particularly the Harmon Kardon speakers. Loved it when I test drove the Range Rover back in 2011 but not enough for the price tag. I have a V8 as well.
Cheers!
