I've owned 2 other Audi's and same results. As someone else already stated you can have reliability issues with any manufacturer.

Personally id stay away from the new XC90 until the new car bugs are worked out. Probably the same thing a lot of early 2014 wk2 owners wish they would have done.

If you're thinking Q5, then wait for the new one to come out, current one is outdated with outdated electronics and interior compared to whats out there (great vehicle just not to date), also the Q5 is not really in the same class as others you have mentioned (size and utility wise). If you are considering the Q5 also have a look at the MB GLC300.

+1 New Q7 is on its way too and its shed a few pounds.
The MMI in our 2011 Q5 is definitely outdated.

But I don't think you can get a Q7 without the 3rd seat.

Do you mean that the Q7 is also available with just 2 rows? I don't need a 3rd row and prefer the extra storage.

I doubt it it was always a 3 row car, I think what he means is that the 3rd row is flat foldable which gives you more cargo room when not in use.
I have a 3rd row in my X5 which is down 99% of the time. If i needed a 3rd row for everyday use i would look at Tahoe or a Land Cruiser.

Yeah I see why they call it the Q7
It's about 7000 pounds in weight perhaps infinity can put it on a diet and find ways to trim its gut.

I think your referring to the Infiniti QX80 which is their large SUV, the Q7 is an Audi model and the newest generation weighs in around the same as a Grand Cherokee

Don't even know where to start with this lol

My brother just got a 2016 X5 xdrive35i M Sport and I'm in love. The front seats are super comfortable, something like 20 way adjusting. It rides firm, m sport and run flats obviously. But it's decently quiet on the highway. I looked up the stats comparing the X5 diesel to the GC EcoDiesel. The X5 gets better mpg, has more power, handles better (obviously) and is quieter at highway speeds according to edmunds. But it costs more so... Still I'm a huge fan of the X5, as well as the GC. They're probably both my two favorite SUVs.

I'm assuming you'd be interested in a Summit, right? With a Hemi? What's your X5, a 35 or 50?

It really depends. Probably the biggest thing for me is the suspension. The X5 is suppose to drive like a sports car, and it excels at it. But the GC almost drives larger than it is due to a float-y suspension and a larger, looser turning radius. I'm on my third WK2, so I clearly like them but they are definitely different than the X5.

Overland or Summit, I wouldn't mind the V6 if worked correctly with the 8 speed tranny. I have the 35 now and its more than enough for my %90 city driving. The F15 body is very different from the E70 which is geared more toward luxury, you can get DHC or DHP whatever its called and it adjusts the suspension and steering, but stock F15 is pretty comfortable which I like. Having said that I wouldn't mind the ride of the JGC and getting the V8 shouldn't be too much of the stretch in the grand scheme of things.
In all honesty the thing that kept me back before getting my last one was reliability and dealer support.
