Altitude with HID headlights?

Is there a way I can get an Altitude with LED headlights? Or would I be better off getting a limited and blacking out everything? I know the LED headlights aren't "black" but that can also be changed... I have yet to see one!

You will be able to retrofit SRT8 blacked out LED/Xenon headlights for alot of money if you want the harness for the conversion will be out soon. The headlights are NOT cheap though. ~1,200 a piece new.

This is my plan as well.

What's different about the srt8 vs the lux LED headlights? Just the black housing? I don't mind opening the headlights to paint them for less than $1,200

Yes they are black to begin with. The standard LUX headlights are just as expensive new... but you can find more of them used since there are alot more non srt 8's running around on the streets.

The SRT8 lights also have the self-leveling/cornering capability. That along with the black housing doesn't justify the price increase for me, but it is what it is.

The standard OEM HID lights are like $1k new I believe, whereas the AFS-equipped lights are $1k/each.

Re: Altitude with HID headlights?

Just to add, the headlight housings are sealed differently than others, they are not easily opened. The sealent is not heat sensitive, so a heat gun will not work.

Also, the 2014 SRT8 housings can be purchased for about $1700 for the pair at allmoparparts. Still expensive, but better than any place else I have seen.

Just searched their site but didn't see anything... Would the auto leveling functionality work?

You have to go to their repair parts section and enter the part numbers.

68142490AD
68142491AE

I am not sure about the auto leveling, but the AFS (steering) function definitely will not work.

And that's a no to auto leveling working on cars that didn't have it prior.
