Totally agree, it seems you can't say anything in today's society without being called a racist. I am tired of it, the left needs to come up with a better angle than this far fetched one.

Re: American Muscle Jeep 5.7L Hemi vs Teriyaki Toyota 5.7L

referring to a Japanese car company by a food of that country is immature. Is it racist or offensive? it can be subjective and from the posts I've read, I'm actually shocked.

bottom line, why bother making the reference if it isn't meant to be derogatory? and by making the derogatory reference, in my opinion it's racist.

and to justify the comment by saying you do the same for german or italian cars just furthers the argument. This doesn't really do much to justify the derogatory comment.

anyhow, some are saying people are being too sensitive, they're entitled to their opinion. Some are saying this is racist. The op apologized and some are saying he didn't need to...this is amazing.

how about we post jeep relevant posts and keep the derogatory comments for youor personal conversations, where you won't have to deal with the sensitivity of a public forum.

One person i believe said the word racism. ONE. Why are you acting like this entire thread is filled with tons of people calling the OP a racist? Hell, the person didn't even call the OP a racist, just that they were racist remarks. Difference.

Also, no one really cares if you like being called a wop, guinea, or whatever. Hoenstly, not one person cares. Two people got upset here. One is Asian, and one was me, since i've lived in Asia, have tons of Asian friends, and have dated an Asian girl in the past for quite a long time who to this day is still very important to me. I didn't find the inuendo necessary. Thats all. I highly doubt many here that say it's fine to say any ethnic connotations would do so up to complete strangers. That's what we all are here. Maybe you would? More power to ya, but I can tell ya that if you walked up to a strange person from any generation driving a BMW and said "hey, nice kraut car" the person would be thinking in their head "what an idiot, lol"

I don't think anyone in this thread is losing sleep over this, nor is anyone making this into a gigantic issue except really you because you keep saying weird stuff about coming at you or pushing the subject. Now, lets get back to talking about Jeep stuff. Cool?

"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it" -Charles Swindoll

The OP apologized, everyone move on and stop talking about it and get back to the main reason why the post originated to begin with. I agree that everyone in our society is sensitive and being of Asian decent I've heard it all as well and I don't let it get to me because I see how others react and it's just not worth it. Nobody likes to be called names or being offended but you can't control what other people do. A tiger doesn't lose sleep over the opinion of a sheep...

HERE HERE.

P.S., when you said kraut, I immediately thought of having a delicious dirty water dog with that, relish and spicy mustard.

I'll skip the dog, I'm staring out my office window at the chicken and rice stand.

I am not putting the land cruiser down on reliability. I also love the car. I also own a 2002 Land Cruiser. Just wanted to sow how my tuned Jeep ran against the new 5.7L Land cruiser that belongs to my bro.

Just somethings I want to point out is that the Land Cruisers we get here in Qatar are already tuned for 92 octane fuel and the Climate conditions in Qatar. Unlike like Jeeps which are I believed are tuned with 87 octane fuel. Our Land Cruisers here a little bit more powerful than the one's sold in the USA. About 25-30whp difference . In the USA LC's dyno around 280-290whp and in Qatar they dyno upto 310whp, stock conditions. I have a friend who had his 2010 LC shipped from the USA to here in Qatar when he graduated from the USA , and dynoed his LC with my bro's LC. The difference between both was 28whp.

The other thing I want to point is about weight. I know on Toyota's website it is stated that the LC weighs around 5700 pounds. Now I really don't know if there's a difference between a USA model and a Middle Eastern model. Because when I weighed my bro's LC with me inside it, it came around 2190Kg (4839 pounds) and the my Jeep GC came around 2310Kg(5105 pounds) with me inside it again. That was also strange as I always thought that the Jeep is lighter.

Anyway, I do apologize for my childish remarks and my mistake for making such statement.
Nothing to apologize for !
I can call cars whatever the **** I want .
Whoever felt offended should go check a shrink .
A guy is in jail for the past 5 month just because a moron couldn't tell the difference between a sarcastic stupid comment and a real threat .
Soon we'll go to jail if someone will find inappropriate the way we name our cats dogs and cars .
