This was a race between me and my brother. I wanted to test and see what difference are my mods doing.
Mods on my jeep are Hemifever Tune and AFE Air Intake System.
The 2011 Land Cruiser has only an AFE drop-in filter.

The race was from 2nd Gear 80km/hr (50mph)

Here is the video

Looks like that sushi got fried really good :D
Now this is the difference between a real 5.7L Engine and sushi 5.7L

"Wheat burners"--I've been on several other forums including Ram diesel forums where you would think good ol' US of A oil burning truck owners would use such a term. Not once have I seen "wheat burners" used anywhere.

Never heard of "pasta rockets" either but then outside of cafe racer motorcycles one would not normally expect that reference.

Nevertheless, why even go there? Good for you if you're not offended---perhaps others are a bit more touchy about the subject because we had experienced more of it.

I'm giving you a standing ovation as I type this. Furthermore, stfu and stop spamming this thread. A pm to the OP would have sufficed.

I need for someone (anyone) to explain to me how what the original poster typed correlates to him/her being a racist in any way.....the myopia on this thread is confounding...I've been called ****, ***, Guinea, a "Vinny" etc. in my lifetime...many times merely in jest....I suppose I could assume that those "slurs" slung my way were unequivocal proof of the inherent racism of the name-caller....yeah, that makes sense.....

It goes FAR outside this board. Never in my life have I seen so many people so eager to be offended as I do these days. It's amazing. The fact is, if you spend your days looking for something to offend you, chances are you're going to find it.

Maybe legalization of marijuana is a good idea - it might mellow people the f*&k out.

referring to a Japanese car company by a food of that country is immature. Is it racist or offensive? it can be subjective and from the posts I've read, I'm actually shocked.

bottom line, why bother making the reference if it isn't meant to be derogatory? and by making the derogatory reference, in my opinion it's racist.

and to justify the comment by saying you do the same for german or italian cars just furthers the argument. This doesn't really do much to justify the derogatory comment.

anyhow, some are saying people are being too sensitive, they're entitled to their opinion. Some are saying this is racist. The op apologized and some are saying he didn't need to...this is amazing.

how about we post jeep relevant posts and keep the derogatory comments for youor personal conversations, where you won't have to deal with the sensitivity of a public forum.

"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it" -Charles Swindoll

The OP apologized, everyone move on and stop talking about it and get back to the main reason why the post originated to begin with. I agree that everyone in our society is sensitive and being of Asian decent I've heard it all as well and I don't let it get to me because I see how others react and it's just not worth it. Nobody likes to be called names or being offended but you can't control what other people do. A tiger doesn't lose sleep over the opinion of a sheep...

+ a trillion!

It's not a racist remark. Let me explain this to you. Teriyaki originated in Japan. Sushi also originated in Japan. Guess what...Toyota also originated in Japan.

Also, is Sushi, Teriyaki, or Toyota a person? How can a non-person be offended?

I love to use Teriyaki seasoning on beef and chicken kabobs. Does that make me racist?
On the other hand, I hate Sushi. Does that make me racist?

He was simply using some alliteration to have a clever title.

I could go on for pages and pages but you should be able to understand that his title was NOT racist.

IMO, not racist.

However, the best, most thought out replies are on the side of it being racist or at least inappropriate, while the more immature responses think its all OK.

One things for sure, I do understand that it doesn't matter if I think something is inoffensive , what matters is that someone else takes offence.

Guys, this argument cannot be won by either side. I don't think the OP's comment was racist or offensive, especially because it was meant as a joke, not an insult. Either way, let's stop arguing and focus on the point of the thread. We can all be happy that the Jeep kicked the Toyota's ass!

There is a not so fine line between mentioning or referencing a race, and making a racist comment.

Racism is essentially the prejudice that a specific race or ethnicity is superior to another. This is not racism.

Were those descriptors inflammatory? Not in my book, but that's really a subjective opinion.
