Granite is in my top 2 along with Black for exterior color. Our 1999 JGC Limited is Black with tan interior, and my current ride, '05 Acura TL is black on black. I figured I'd go only with the Black if I get a new Jeep but that Granite has my interest as there is just something slightly different about it.

I considered the brown/black combo interior for awhile, but I don't know if I would like it long term but it is kind of cook for something different.

I just purchased my 14' Summit 4x4 Ecodiesel for $52k, about 12% off MSRP. I would push harder for a better deal. IMO

Re: Amount off MSRP for 2014 Summit???

I got my 14 Summit Diesel back in July for $49K after all incentives/rebates. Key is to find a dealership that cares more about volume than profit per unit. The manufacturer bonuses for dealerships that hit their volume numbers more than make up the few k they lose on pushing a sale.

Just picked up a 2014 summit 4x4 in Denver for $42k. Paid a few extra for the lifetime warranty. Not a bad deal.

Re: Amount off MSRP for 2014 Summit???

Great price. If I did this over again I would have grabbed a 2014. I liked the older grills and really didn't think there would be so many recalls and things to be fixed. A lifetime warranty will pay itself off quickly. I got an extended 2 year warranty and its paid for itself in 2 visits. It makes me wonder if keeping it past the extended is worthwhile. I like the WK2 a lot, but may look at the fugly Cherokee, as the trail hawk version is acceptable and about $14K less than a decent WK2 limited.

Are you trying to bluntly say I'm not telling the truth (chowder)? Unfortunately, I'm not here to prove anything about my deal. Just stating the facts of my purchase. If you chose not to believe it, it's your choice!

Re: Amount off MSRP for 2014 Summit???

I would go that far. SUVs in the Rocky Mountain states are priced very reasonably. I went to school in Salt Lake City and knew the Miller family. They gave us some good deals on vehicles that were a previous years model. I actually drove back to SLC to buy a Subaru as I lived in Omaha but was moving to upstate NY and prices were dramatically different. Probably saved $8K back in 1994. Why would he lie about what he paid for a jeep. I guess it could happen but what's the motive or payoff.

I guess this is between the two of you. I'll bow out.

Don't worry about it BlackJeep... some have a history of being a total knob.
