Hi Folks: I'm considering a switch from my iPhone to an HTC One M8 -- just kinda bored after many years with an iPhone. Before doing so, I thought I'd see if there have been any Android Bluetooth issues with 2014 JGCs. A search of the forum showed some problems ... I mostly stream Pandora from my iPhone and haven't had any issues.
What has been everyone's experience with their Android phone and their WK2 JGC? Has anyone gone from an iPhone to an HTC One M8, and if so, what's been the experience?
Although you are asking this question about a month too early for me, I can tell you that the HTC One M8 is an EXCELLENT phone. I don't like Apple-products in general (I never owned any because I don't want to sponsor their "hype") but this HTC is great. I upgraded from a HTC Sensation.
Although this might not be helpful either, I can verify that the One M8 is fully compatible with my Lincoln's SYNC-system - no issues there.
I certainly hope it is fully compatible with the Jeep, too, so I'm also interested in input from others....
Just set up an HTC M8... everything works as expected on an Aussie MY14. Text messages are received by Unconnect with default settings, so it's totally straightforward.
thank you for your comments ... I'm glad to learn of your success with Android and your JGCs. now I'm left with the fundamental decision to leave iOS or not ... the new iPhone 6 looks compelling, but I'd kinda like to give the Android OS a try.
The iPhone 6 is a good step forward for apple. If you are in that ecosystem I would stick with it. If you are tech driven and open minded I would try android especially the m8!
