Re: ANFSCD: Maxcare in Florida

One question I had was if I live in Florida now and take delivery of my Jeep this week and sign up for the lifetime warranty (paying a premium for the transferability option to increase resale value), if I move to Vegas in 6 months - what happens to the transferability of my contract? I will also be servicing it in another state (as opposed to the dealer that drafted the contract).

Your contract will state it is transferable. The one I bought online (from a MI dealer) even though I was a Florida resident did NOT state it was transferable which was the problem I had. It shouldn't have mattered but Jeep was resisting honoring the transferability of the lifetime stating it wasn't in my contract --- even though it should have been! Oh well, just did the prorated refund instead. A dealer had told me that you won't get your money back on a service contracts that transfers to a new owner because potential owners don't value it as much to cover your cost. Don't know if that's true...
