Another 2014 GC rattle solved!!

So, my friend has a 2014 GC limited 4X4 with less than 2K miles, and they've been noticing a rattle, which seemed to emanate from the center of the dash.

I got under the vehicle and started tapping around, and I found the forward most skid plate bolt to be very loose. Interestingly enough, the noise was very loud going very slowly down the road, say < 5 MPH, and would disappear when turning right.

Here is a pic.

Here is a vid.

Re: Another 2014 GC rattle solved!!

Thx.

Does that apply to all GC's or just the ones with the extra off road skid plates?

Probably should use some loc-tite or it may just loosen again.

This particular rattle was a skid plate bolt. The interesting thing is how the rattles seem to emanate from the dash. No doubt dashes are being removed needlessly.

Good idea on the loc-tite.
