That may be sound advice, but not helpful for anyone that wants to order a vehicle now. The problem stems from the factory adding features to certain models, mainly the Overland, and adjusting the price for those inclusions. I trust Milous has the edge here over a dealer since most of the salesmen are getting the answers third hand, if they listen at all to the sales manager spreading the word.

Re: Another confusing order/buying/owning experience... (long)

I just spoke with my dealer and received my build sheet with VON but it shows my 4x4 Overland as being restricted. I have read the other posts regarding restriction but has anyone had this happen recently? Just curious how long the "restriction" period usually is.

Also, the dealer emailed me a screen shot of some of the standard features on an overland and the Class IV hitch is included in the list.

I also placed an order this morning for a 4X4 V6 Overland. The POC (Priced Order Confirmation) sheet they gave me just says under status "Pending Order". What did yours say under status? I do have a VON number on my POC.
Just curious did you order any extras? Everything I wanted was in the base price of the Overland already. My MSRP was $42,690.

My status is "BA - Pending Order". Dealer could not give me any idea of how long the restriction would last...hopefully it is short.

The only extra I have on my order is the RER nav. I really didn't want it but the dealer offered it to me for free so I decided I might as well. Hopefully the maps are up to date when it arrives.

You should consider becoming a supporter of this site. For 10 or 20 bucks I have been told Milous will track our orders once we are assigned a VIN plus the other perks!

I may do that, but you know Chrysler customer service has told me several times that you can call them and they will track it for you free also. They say you should wait about three weeks before you call them however. My dealer says that my order will not really be final until early September due to allocation anyway, but I really don't understand that. Another dealer told me a last week that Chrysler is supposed to give priority to sold orders with a deposit over normal allocation.

I wonder what the BA- in front of pending order means?

Also after looking at my POC again, the sales code WKJS74 line is gray and down at the bottom of the sheet it says that gray=Restriction. I had not noticed that before now. So I guess mine is restricted also.

The dealers themselves are restricted until next allocation.. What that means if they have to wait until they are allowed to order, for the car to be fully processed. Based on previous sale numbers, a dealership is allowed to order a specific set number of each kind of car/model/engine, etc... If they are allowed say 4 5.7 Overlands in one week and anything beyond that goes on restriction and isn't put through by Chrysler until they get some free order allocation. If every dealer could order 20 cards a day by putting in fake names and saying they got a deposit, some dealers would have 100 cars in there lot and others 0 because priority of sold cars over wrote the other dealer. To make it more fair, one dealers sold cars do not over-ride another dealers set of orders for their lot/people... Hopefully this makes some sense.. If not ask and I'll try to re-word or answer a different way. If its restricted due to a PART then ALL dealerships would be on restriction for that particular item, not just one or two.

Re: Another confusing order/buying/owning experience... (long)

J13 - i couldn't reply to you since my post count is too low, but yes my build sheet shows TG IV under the options section, no incremental cost. i believe it's part of the reasion the 25P package is higher as this should be standard, i thin it's code AHZ. I ordered on 7.21

I realized that after I sent the message a little while ago. Thanks for the info! I think the Trailer tow is AHX.. but yes its part of the Hemi package we think. Do you know the status of your build yet?
