Another is this a good deal thread.

So, I'm looking for opinions on whether or not this is a good deal. 2014 JGC Overland 4x4 5.7L V8 Granite Crystal/Nepal Frost, Advance Tech Grp, Quadra Drive II. 52,400 out the door including TTL (MSRP 53,175 + 8.6% sales tax in my locale). Sounds good to me, I just want to make sure I'm not getting jobbed - I don't have to go for getting every last dime out of the deal, but I don't want to make the dealership's month either.

Go on true car dot com and put in your info and see what the true price is. I saved $4300 off MSRP

+1 for true car. I'm looking to purchase a 15 Overland in the coming weeks and when I asked my local dealer about true car, he sounded pretty confident he would easily beat it. I'm looking to get 4-5% below invoice.

Now for a 14, I would be looking at getting a substantial discount. I'd say shoot for at least 7-8 % below invoice, otherwise go with a 15.

He's doing better than that, more like $5,000+ when you figure the tax.

I put mine in TrueCar after buying it. There deal would have cost me $1,000. Dealers agree to sell for their prices, because it's a good price ... For the dealer.

That figure appears to be roughly $5280 under MSRP for the 2014 I'm looking at (back out the 8.6% sales tax and you get $47,890 ish (there are also some DMV fees, documentary stuff, etc in there too).

Your correct with that, I was impatient and bought mine 4 weeks ago. If I had waited I probably would have gotten a better deal but didn't want to risk not finding the vehicle I wanted.
