Any recommendations for a ODB2 scanner

I am looking to purchase an ODB2 scanner for the WK2, any recommendations?

Thanks

Re: Any recommendations for a ODB2 scanner

I have this one and has proved to be very useful in the past. I liked this one because it could also read the transmission codes which I used to fix a problem in my last car. Luckily have not needed it yet on my WK2!!

Re: Any recommendations for a ODB2 scanner

I just got this one but haven't had a code pop yet. Works great with my iPhone for monitoring user definable parameters in real time. Prior to the wifi one, I used one of the scanners from Advance Auto where you had to cross reference the codes.

I've been playing with one of these:

But like Radside haven't seen any actual codes yet. Fortunately it provides some amusement value via speed and other parameters.

Re: Any recommendations for a ODB2 scanner

Thanks all, I have an iTouch so I will go with the GL1 cable from GoPoint.... You have to love the Apple products, from controlling your Comcast cable box to reading car codes..

Are these gizmos read only? Or can you adjust speedometer for say.... larger tires?

Read only, with the exception that most of them can clear codes.

Re: Any recommendations for a ODB2 scanner

IMO I would wait until there's a tune for the WK2 .. MOST handheld tuners have an OBD reader, too.
