Any updates on CRD production?

Are there any updates on when Chrysler will start to build CRD GC's, and/or when they should start arriving in dealerships?

(Is it fair to assume all the test drive diesel GCs have been built here rather than imported?)

Re: Any updates on CRD production?

This has been discussed many times in multiple threads. April 22nd is tentative start production date. Dealer sometime this summer if nothing changes. Yes they were built at JNAP.

Re: Any updates on CRD production?

Does seem odd that they would build the hype and then delay. Allpar says "heightened quality standards and issues with the new PowerNet system and other 2014 upgrades resulted in lost output" There was a 25% drop in GC sales in Feb probably because of the confused market and the above lost production.

If demand is exceeding supply, no wonder the CRD and the Laredo are delayed while the high profit items are being pushed.

Re: Any updates on CRD production?

I'm thinking of just going out and buying a v6 due to the delays.

I'm holding out for the diesels as there is no urgent need to replace our current ride. Plus, that gives us a few more months to build up the new Jeep account in the bank.
