Because people have certain things they are looking for out of a vehicle. He's not buying a Highlander because the Grand Cherokee is too small because he likes the Highlander better...its because its more practical...i.e. has more space and seats

Dude, people on the website are nuts sometimes. Just like America in a way. If you don't think the way they do they attack you. It's a shame that's the way people are now.

Dark night-

My opinion, don't waste your time defending yourself. Be proud of what you believe and screw em.

After all, haters gonna hate.

LOL, nobody is attacking anybody...I'm just dumbfounded that anybody still feels this way after 70 years when everybody who had anything to do with the attack on pearl harbor is dead or dying...American or Japanese.

At some point these things need to have a statute of limitations. I think its completely absurd to refuse to do business with someone because someone of their nationality killed someone of my nationality 3 generations ago. Seriously...none of us would ever do business with anybody if we all felt this way.

To further clarify the fact that the Japanese paid dearly for attacking us...for every American killed in Pearl Harbor, we killed 100 Japanese in retaliation. Let that sink in for a few minutes. 100 Japanese murdered in retaliation for 1 American life. Pearl harbor was a military installation. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were CITIES! And we have the moral high ground because some of us may say 70 years later we won't buy Japanese cars? Please.

If anything they should refuse to buy our crap.

Anyone consider the new 2014 Toyota Highlander?

I hear ya, but at the same time he can do what he wants can't he? As long as he isn't hurting anyone else why would any of us care?

Not saying I agree or disagree with him, although it's totally my right to go either way.....or at least it used to be......

Re: Anyone consider the new 2014 Toyota Highlander?

Its a discussion forum. If you're going to post a statement like that...ya gotta be ready for the response.

The thing is, that attitude does hurt people. Its not healthy for any of us to carry around that sort of baggage...he passes on the hatred and blame to his children and it keeps the cycle continuing when in this day and age it needs to stop.

I get it, that makes sense. That's how it goes. He was punished for thinking differently. He got his. Good for you guys for drilling him. Hopefully he learned his lesson.

Re: Anyone consider the new 2014 Toyota Highlander?

I was going to go downstairs and microwave myself a pizza for a late night snack. Then I remembered...pizza is from Italy...and the Romans killed Jesus!

So I threw the pizza away and went to bed hungry. Take that Italy!
