I'll be pulling mine before duck season, but I have to say, I probably spend more time on the farm and in mud then 99% of WK2 owners and haven't gotten it stuck yet

Greetings,

Also an excellent choice, they come in 265/60/18. This happened to be my 2nd choice before I brought the Nokian Rotiva AT. Traction and grip is also better than the Firestone.

Check this link out for the AT3:

275/55/20

Best for now.

Re: Anyone know what tires come on a 2014 LTD?

Quick call around and the discount places basically thought I was insane to be asking if they swapped.

Not sure what to do but I'm pretty sure I don't want the Latitudes. Is Ebay really an option?

Ebay or craigs list if you dont mind going through the time and trouble of selling and shipping. A local used tire shop if you dont care how much you get for them and just want to be rid of them. (They wont give you much so dont be surprised.
I think your best bet is to try and work something with your dealer where they change them before you take delivery. They can make use of new stock tires in that size. Yeah you might pay some extra but it shouldnt be like buying a whole new set at a tire shop after you take delivery. Good luck

Used tire shop will give $20. Ebay involves shipping. Craig's list means dealing with people. I got $75 per tire off Tire Rack prices at local independent tire store. I used him a year later to swap tires on my wife's 2012 Subaru and will use him again if I get a 2015 WK2. Includes free rotation and flat repair for life of tires.

Re: Anyone know what tires come on a 2014 LTD?

Greetings,

Speak to the dealer and see how much they will give you if they take the Latitudes off immediately before you sign. It can not hurt to ask. Then you have to select a tire from a online source or a tire shop and have the tires sent to the dealer to install. The dealer could also work out a price to install it or take something off on the purchase price. I had my tires Nokian's last year ship directly to my dealer's service department and they gave me a break to install them.

Of course by this method, you do have to put up the money for the new tires. Now you can find all kinds of saving and rebates for a set of 4 tires.

Best for now.

Re: Anyone know what tires come on a 2014 LTD?

So...the dealer said he's willing to swap out the Latitudes for an AT tire. But he's pushing hard that the latitudes are the greatest tire in the world and I'd be nuts to swap.

I know he believes it and now he has me double thinking.

What would you guys do?

They are crap. Unless you're just looking for dry weather driving, then you'll be fine.

I would tell him the truth, that he is just plain wrong.

The Latitudes have a 65,000 mile rating, are quiet, have low rolling resistance for better mpg, and are great on dry pavement. But any amount of inclement weather and their performance drops quickly.

I live in New England and we had a summer rain storm shortly after I got my new Jeep. I could feel the Latitudes hydroplaning in moderately deep puddles along the highway. A quick search on google will show you just how poorly they handle snow.

I swapped mine at about 300 miles with a set of Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 tires. They have been great in mud, snow, rain, etc. They are rated at 50,000 miles. Other A/T tires may have longer life ratings, but these have worked well for me so far. I sold the Latitudes on Craigslist.

I'm pretty sure that Jeep knew that the Latitudes were a poor choice for the Grand Cherokee, but they were likely under the gun to get a bit better fuel mileage. Jeep went with the Firestone Destination LE2 and A/T tires for the 2014 Cherokee. They should have done the same with the Grand Cherokee.

Re: Anyone know what tires come on a 2014 LTD?

To the Op... Swap them out, don't listen to the dealer. They might be great for someone living in the south with no snow, but where you and I live your going to wish you had a better tire in the winter. When I did my swap, I called local tire shops and told them I wanted to do a swap for some better tires. I got about $500 for the originals even with 100miles on them. I have the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires and have been very happy with them.

To David Hart... The Latitudes that you can buy at a tire shop and the Latitudes that come on the GC are different. The original tires are pretty much meant to last you to 36,000 miles, if you get more that is great. I think all car manufactures do this.

Re: Anyone know what tires come on a 2014 LTD?

Just asked for the Destination ATs and they agreed. Gonna even credit me the difference as the ATs are a cheaper tire.
