Re: Anyone regret getting a Summit

When I bought the Summit, there was a Hemi Overland sitting next to it; same color and all, but the Summit just sort of grabbed me.

No regrets whatsoever.

Same thing here. Went with the Summit and do not regret at all.

Re: Anyone regret getting a Summit

I know OP posted a bit ago but, NOPE, no regrets. Wanted Needed the HK stereo and slightly softer seats. Love both. However, I do miss that Blue ext and Indigo Blue/Brown int combo I almost got in an Overland, man that was da bomb!

Absolutely the right choice for me. You sometimes think items are just bells and whistles until you have them. I had to decide between an Overland or Summit. I found the tech package to be awesome. It like has my back just in case I was to make a mistake. The front parking sensors help when going in the garage or in tight spaces. The HK sound system is really good, so much so that I don't ever want to turn it off. I am a musician and I find myself hearing music and sounds in familiar songs that I never knew where there. I can go on and on. I started out looking to get the Overland with the OR2 package and also add the tech package. I would only go off road sporadically. I went with the Summit because the comfort, convenience and upgraded features are items I will use every day. The Summit is still a very capable vehicle to boot.

Re: Anyone regret getting a Summit

Nope - no regrets. Love the 2014 Summit and the Grand Canyon Jeep Brown interior. Loved my 2011 Summit too.....but don't miss it anymore thanks to the 2014 Summit.

My guess is you would have the regrets I am experiencing if you bought an Overland, and I would have the regrets you are experiencing if I bought the Summit. There is no way to win (other than to buy both).

That brown interior is too loud for my taste. If they toned it down a little and reduced the amount of brown it would look clean.

That's a surprising observation...the brown interior for the MY14 Summit is pretty "dull" compared to the saddle interior I have. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, but way dark for my tastes! (very subjective thing, of course)

The saddle interior of my 2011 Summit was one of my favorite things and I thought I'd miss it. Now the brown interior and love it....don't miss the saddle as the brown interior has an overall higher luxury feel to it.

Re: Anyone regret getting a Summit

I didn't mean "dull" in a negative way, Dan...more like the difference visually between the saddle and the brown which I know you can appreciate. Sorry if I came off that way. The saddle, being "brighter in color" than the brown and the poster in #31 saying that the brown is "loud" to his/her tastes was what I was reacting to. The Jeep brown is very rich looking and the only one of the two available colors I'd accept if I were buying a MY14 Summit. I. Don't. Do. Black. Interiors. (or black exteriors for that matter. )

Re: Anyone regret getting a Summit

^^^ Oh, no offense in any way taken. I was just pointing out that I too love the saddle interior in the Summit (was hesitate to not have it anymore) but with the new brown interior Summit I really really like the brown now and it is distinctive in that it isn't black. I am very happy with my choices (2011 Summit saddle and 2014 Summit brown).

How could dark brown be "loud"? It's a dark, rich, deep, subtle earth tone that is pretty much the exact opposite of a loud color.
