Given that Chrysler "may" start producing the CRD in the third quarter and only in a limited amount, I have decided to start checking other available Diesels.
Since I really want the features of the advance tech package, it looks like the only option is the Mercedes Benz Diesel (did not see VW or Porsche offering collision avoiding braking). I know that this may be off topic on this forum, but just checking if other members have test driven one and how does it compare with their Jeeps (specially the GC). It looks like I may have to pay $10K more for a similarly equipment ML, but hey, it is worth checking.
Current vehicles: 2004 4.0 WJ, 2003 4.0 TJ.
2014 Porsche Cayenne Diesel.
Being as the JGC & the ML share some of the same components you can see the similarities. Some of our fellow members have compared the two and there are some posts out here (see below... Similar Threads) From what I have heard though the Jeep handles better than the ML. In the end I believe you would pay more than $10K for a comparably equipped Mercedes.
